I bought this encyclopedia for my nephew as a present for his 9th birthday and he absolutely loved it. Within seconds he was happily absorbed in its contents.The book provides a wonderful introduction for kids and adults alike to space covering the creation of the universe, the solar system, individual planets, their characteristics and the Sun and other gas giants. Space missions are also delved into and insights provided on space crafts, space suits and the international space station.The information is presented in the medium of texts, captions and infographics using straight forward, easy to understand language complimented by photos, detailed illustrations and 3D cross section images. The combination of texts and visuals have been impressively implemented bringing the contents of the encyclopedia to life, making learning about space accessible and fun.Any child or adult interested in space exploration will find this encyclopedia a great entry point to the universe.

I bought this book for my niece for Christmas who is interested in space. She loved the book. Arrived quickly. The book is beautiful and full of amazing pictures are educational content. The text is laid out in almost bitesized chunks that are easier to take in. Would recommend.

I bought this for my 6 year old granddaughter, who is interested in space. However I shall have to save it until she is older, as it is too complex for her at the moment. I was pleased with the sheer wealth of information though, and it would certainly be a great springboard for youngster who would go on to study in more depth as the move into secondary education.

As usual with DK books, this is a fantastic reference book that will help anybody with an interest in space to grasp the basics and beyond. A great read with excellent images from our solar system and outward further into space.

Really lovely books. Bought for grandkids for Christmas. They love them. They sat down and read the books on Christmas day afternoon rather than play with all the toys they got.

Very impressed with this book. It is perfect for anyone that has an interest in space. The pictures are great and the book covers a wide range of space info. Got it for my 15 year old granddaughter but honestly would be good for younger and older. I enjoyed looking at it myself. Highly recommend this book.

The book is quite big but has beautiful pictures of cosmos. Content is interesting and it’s quite fun to read.

The media could not be loaded. The content is really amazing , snd the quantity of knowledge was just amaxing!The illustrations were mind boggling they were too good. But I want to say that it has a pribting issue you see in large picture sections, sometimes the text is missing otherwise---9/10
