What a great ending, complete with answers!
The story of Gabe and Autumn brings the story of the new recruits full circle. The new recruits was my first experience with Lantern Beach and I look forward to going back and reading all of the predecessors. I'm so glad that we finally got some answers as to the big overall question permeating each book. I kind of guessed what was going on but it was still disheartening to read about the steps some will take for progress. I won't say more than that so as to not spoil it for anyone who hasn't read the book yet.Gabe and Autumn were such a sweet couple. I love how they interacted with each other and I love how Christy Barritt alluded to their relationship in a previous book when Gabe was like "I'm going to marry that girl" the very first time he saw Autumn. There was plenty of action and suspense, clean romance. The only thing I wish would've been included would've been interactions between the females. Whenever the girls were together the guys were there. It would've been nice to have a scene or two where the ladies were hanging out, similar to Elise and Sami in "Axel". Besides that I really loved the book and this series! I can't wait to read "Brandon" when it comes out next year!

Brilliant Conclusion!
Yeah, this is a quick read and another page turner...Barritt KNOWS what her readers like and she does not disappoint! A perfectly done conclusion to an incredible series, but Gabe was different than the others. He's the one who gets attacked at the beginning, usually it's a client the team is paid to protect. Also the dialogue in this one doesn't seem as natural to me as the previous books. The word "appreciate" is used A LOT and to me doesn't capture how truly grateful a person REALLY is. It's also different because Gabe is already crushing on Autumn, so the reader gets a chance to know her in this story as he is.The stakes are definitely higher in this book and they had me guessing throughout, who could possibly hate Blackout and Autumn Spenser THIS MUCH to do THIS much harm? Loved how the rest of the team is involved in Gabe's story, they really are a great group of characters. It really is too bad other SEALs are harmed in Gabe' s story. Can't recommend this series enough, love reading Barritt's work!

The Grand Finale
I've enjoyed all four books in this series --and all the Lantern Beach books that went ahead. I wait excitedly for each new one to come along. Gabe, the fourth member of his former SEAL team, finds himself the target of several murder attempts at the same time that the new island doctor is also attacked. Could the two be connected? And can Gabe and Autumn work together to solve that question before the unseen enemy gets them? Everyone needs a good realistic mystery with a little love story thrown in as well.

Gabe wrap up
This is another in the series and it is a stand alone but also nicely wraps up many of the medical problems mentioned in the previous books of this series.Love that we get to know each of the blackout team a bit better. If I could change anything , I’d actually add more details about the other team members and the relationships that have grown or developed in the previous books. There was mystery, suspense, danger and then new trust in a new relationship in this book.A great read and I like that the author has different series all taking place in Lantern Beach. Feels like a small town with many facets and I can begin to picture it from the other books

Another Great Episode in Lantern Beach!
" . . . . they weren't just dealing with an excavation. Now he was pretty sure they were dealing with murder."When dive experts Kayla Richardson and Steven Michaels happen upon an underwater mystery while working on a restoration project for the city of San Francisco, they never imagined being tangled up in unsolved murders . . . for not one, but two victims . . . . from totally different eras. What secret was the ship, "The Lucky Martha" still holding onto? And why were others so adamant about keeping them from making a full discovery?Years earlier, another young diver happened upon a ship buried underneath the waters of San Francisco Bay. At that time, Luke Moreau was a member of the construction team for the south tower of what is now known through-out the world as the Golden Gate Bridge. When his underwater discovery began to threaten all that he held dear, Luke made a decision that affected the lives of several generations.Enjoy the riveting history written between these pages, for what was under the sea changed everything on the surface for four young Americans, whose fears for their future were overcome by diving deep into the past."Fear is not of the Lord, child. He is almighty God and has His angels watching over you."

Something is going on in Lantern Beach (again . . .)
Dr. Autumn Spenser and former Navy SEAL and current Blackout operative Gabe Michaels start getting to know each other after Gabe is nearly killed in a hit-and-run accident. And almost immediately following, Autumn is the target of harassment and attempts on her life.As much as I enjoy Christy Barritt's Lantern Beach novels, something felt a little off in this book. Plenty of action and suspense combined with the romance between Gabe and Autumn, but maybe the speed in which everything happened? It felt hyper-accelerated this time around -- and what about that job in Florida that Gabe was supposed to leave for in three days?Still recommended, of course.

Good, suspenseful series
I enjoyed the storylines and the suspense. There were a lot of twists and turns to keep me guessing. I enjoyed all of the characters in each of these four books. One thing I noticed in this series that I have not noticed in the others is that the author seems to use a lot of verbs. So many sentences have to do with feelings and emotions such as 'he felt himself tense'. He already felt himself tense up when he stepped out, and now a minute later, he felt it again. So, because there were a lot of sentences like that the book seemed a little wordier. Other than that and poured versus pored, the series was great. I look forward to meeting Brandon in the next series!

Brilliant as always
Another brilliant story from this author. Loose ends in the overarching story of this four part series are tied up, while Gabe and Autumn fight for survival of not only their lives but their blossoming relationship as they try to work out who is targeting each of them and why.
