IncipioiPhone 7 Case, Hard Shell Dual Layer DualPro Case for iPhone 7-Black/Black

I LOVE this product. I need a case that's a little sticky, so it doesn't slide out of my hand easily when I'm holding it and 20 other things at the same time. By sticky, I mean the rubber is not slippery. It has adequately absorbed a dozen drops with no cracking of the iPhone or case. It's also low profile, so it fits into my pocket and cell phone holder in my car. I don't like the cases too bulky--just sticky and slim. I've used 3 different Incipio cases over the years and loved them all.

These dual-layer Incipio cases are fantastic at protecting our iPhones and I would not have a phone without one. We have never had any phone or screen damaged while in one. I've dropped it getting out of the car and watched it cartwheel for ten feet down the concrete only to find the case scratched and the phone unscathed. I've dropped my phone from four feet and had it land on its corner with no damage. My son - who used to destroy phones as a hobby - has had no damage using these cases. I do note that the finish quality on the back of the case has decreased and it shows more scratches and scrapes than previous purchases of this same model.

For iPhone 8: This is one of the better cases for iPhone 8, just be mindful of what color combination you get. I got the Mint/Grey color combination for my wife and the case is excellent, tactile buttons, great lip around the screen for screen first drops and lay on the table protection, dual layer design providing great protection in a reasonably slim package. Some reviews have said the case was slippery, I've found that out of the box it may feel like that, but within a week the grip improves. I'm not sure if there is a film on the shell that is rubbed off within a week or if just getting oil from your hands on the case helps the grip, but it does improve. The outer shell does have some rougher edges here and there where it doesn't look to be "exact", you'll know what I mean when you see the case in person, not a huge deal. Now, the bad. After seeing that I liked my wife's case I ordered the black/black version for myself, the inner rubber liner for the black/black version is waaaay too stiff to the point of being unacceptable. Buttons very stiff and hard to push, tried to loosen them up but working with them a bit but in the end had no luck. A shame really, as the combination of a relatively slim design, dual layered protection and decent looks makes this a good option for iPhone 8. Just don't get the black/black version.

I don’t like soft coating on products which is what this case has. The corners chip off quite easily with light use. Doesn’t scratch much if at all, but small cracks occur often and grow. This results with broken off edges and sharp points that pull on clothing like pockets.

This case fits great, looks great, and feels pretty good in your hand. The lip at the edge of the screen (which is often problematic on tough cases like this) is just the right size to protect but not get in the way. It's also tough - I've dropped my phone a few times since having this, and never worried about it.The texture is a little slick for the first few days, but then it softens up a bit and you get a decent grip. I wouldn't trust my life to it or anything, but it's better than what you get with a bare phone.That softening up may be the problem, though. I've now been using this case for about a month, and it's already got tons of marks and scuffs on the back. Nothing big, and nothing deep, but these have all been caused simply by being in my pocket with nothing more than a small plastic bottle(with no sharp edges) or a couple pieces of candy. I've had a few Incipio cases before, and while this does eventually happen to any case, my previous Incipios took a year or more for this to begin. I'm not sure what's changed, but it's not a welcome change. My phone quickly went from being shiny and new in its brand new case to looking like I've had it for a long time. I don't know about you, but I like my shiny new $750 toys to actually look shiny and new for a little while.So it's good, but not perfect. If you don't care about the finish getting messed up easily, it's a great design with solid protection. I'd really love to hear from the manufacturer what happened to their finish quality, and get assurance that this problem has been fixed on future cases.

Really poor quality broke within months of buying would never buy again.

Seit etwa 1,5 Jahren benutze ich die Hülle nun. Aus voller Überzeugung bestellte ich mir wieder eine zweiteilige Hülle von Incipio, die Vorgängerhülle hatte 5 Jahre mit meinem alten Iphone ausgehalten. Leider hat die Qualität des Plastiks oder die Qualität der obersten Beschichtung so nachgelassen, dass die Hülle nach etwa einem Jahr anfing sich zu häuten. Nervige schwarze Plastikkrümmel finde ich seit dem in Rucksack und Hosentaschen. Allerdings muss man der Hülle wieder zugute halten, dass sie Stöße sehr gut abfängt. Das ein oder andere Mal ist mein Telefon schon auf Asphalt gefallen ohne irgendwelche Schäden davon zu tragen.Fazit: Stöße fängt sie gut ab, allerdings hat die Qualität nachgelassen und die Hülle löst sich nach einer gewissen Zeit auf.

Let me just say I’m glad the body of the iPhone 6 and 7 are the same, because I’d never want to be without this case. I just replaced mine on my 6s (the second phone it’s been on) after 4 years and many many drops. It certainly showed some wear after a couple of years, but that’s to be expected. The oldone was still functional, but one of the corners had snapped and I could tell the outer shell was getting brittle. It’s hands-down the BEST phone case I’ve ever owned, and I’m willing to bet this new one will last me another 4 years.

Ich benutze die Hülle jetzt seit knapp einem Jahr.Am Anfang war ich auch sehr zufrieden damit. Das IPhone sitzt gut in der zweigeteilten Hülle und ist gut vor Stößen geschützt. Der Rand reicht über das Display hinaus, sodass auch der Bildschirm vor dem Schlimmsten geschützt ist. Einer der Hauptgründe, warum ich mir die Hülle bestellt hatte, war die Soft Grip Oberfläche. Diese fühlt sich angenehm an und ist schön griffig. Sie schien allerdings von Anfang an empfindlich gegenüber Fingerabdrücken und Flecken zu sein.Jetzt nach fast einem Jahr nehme ich mein Handy aus der Hülle, um es mal sauber zu machen (etwas Staub sammelt sich ja immer).Nun kam der GROSSE SCHOCK! Mein einjähriges Handy, mit dem ich wirklich immer sehr vorsichtig und sorgfältig umgehe, sieht aus als wäre es von einem LKW überfahren worden (siehe Bilder)! Die Oberfläche der Rückseite ist total zerkratzt. Besonders schlimm ist es an der oberen und unteren Kante. Es fühlt sich total rau an, als hätte sich irgendetwas hineingebrannt. An der unteren Kante habe ich den Verdacht, dass es durch die Gravierung noch verschlimmert wurde. An der Innenseite der Hülle sieht es so aus, als würden sich schon die Weichmacher lösen und das Handy dadurch stark verschmutzen.Der einzige Teil, der nicht zerkratzt ist, ist da wo die Aussparung für die Kamera ist.Die Hülle hat äußerlich auch gelitten. Die weiche, griffige Oberfläche, von der ich anfangs so begeistert war, bringt nicht viel, wenn sie anfängt sich abzulösen und ohne Sturz tiefe Kratzer entstehen.Ich habe also relativ viel Geld in den Schutz meines IPhones investiert und nach einem Jahr sieht es schlimmer aus, als es vermutlich ohne Hülle aussehen würde.Wer sein Handy gerne zum Schutz in eine Hülle packen und es auch unversehrt wieder heraus holen möchte, sollte auf keinen Fall diese Hülle kaufen!!!
