Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda Beads) - 8 lb Pail

Very happy with the product but the lid doesn't reseal onto the pail. I have to be very careful moving it around and keep it high up where it won't get knocked. Might look to use a different container if I purchase again.

The only complaints I have is packaging. It could use a seal under the lid to prevent from absorbing moisture (I found small clumps inside). The lid is also confusing to open. I thought it works like opening a drywall compound joint bucket lid, but it doesn't. It does not tear all the way around (see the image). So I simply lift the lid to open it. Other than these, the product seems good. I just used it to make my first batch of soaps. I will have to wait for a few days to judge by the results, though.

I was disappointed to receive flakes vs. beads as shown in the description. Some of the flakes are HUGE and take quite a while to dissolve fully. I use for soap making, and would have returned for beads if I wasn't in Holiday crunch time. Seller needs to adjust description or confirm that customer is getting what they ordered prior to shipping.

This is a convenient form of lye for soap making.
