This cheese storage container is the best because it’s large enough to store my Cheddar, Parmesan, & Camembert cheese and yet compact enough to not take up too much room in the fridge. It’s easy to clean and I only wish I had learned about it earlier because it really does keep your cheese fresh much longer than plastic or Reynolds’s wrap ever did.

I decided to stop buying shredded packaged cheese from the grocery store. The taste was never fresh for me. Instead, I started buying blocks of cheese from the deli. The taste is so much better! The cheese box was a must-buy for me. I have never had one before. This one has been holding my block of cheese for four weeks and it looks and tastes as fresh as the day I bought it. You do not have to wrap the cheese when you put it in but I recommend using the bottom tray. If the top seems loose with the new block, just put rubber bands around it. These will hold it in place until the cheese is used and fits securely.

The one cheese that I buy regularly and have had the most problems keeping is the two-pound Tillamook Extra Sharp Cheddar. Someone had written that it fit if you took out the tray and someone else (relying on my not entirely-reliable memory) claimed it fit without taking out the tray. It *almost* fits after it's opened and the wax is folded back, if the tray is out and if I turn it just so... the lid closes but not with the seal it has when empty. But so far, it's kept the cheese from spoiling, so there's that. I was hoping I'd missed seeing a deeper box but I guess not. Definitely a keeper, I just need to be careful nothing knocks the lid ajar.

My Dutch friend recommended this as a storage solution for cheese. I had complained that cheese didn’t last long in the current storage I used and he sent me to this product. The tray in the bottom keeps the cheese away from the moisture that collects and the case is sturdy and well made. I wasn’t paying attention to the size and this was larger than expected but that just means it holds more cheese! I also can store my cheese knife in there to make grabbing a hunk easy and quick

It works, it does fit an entire block of Tillamook cheese (the large 2lb block) as long as you lay it on the side that isn’t as tall as the other. If you do that you don’t need to remove the tray. I do wish it were a glass container though. But, the main point is that it works!

The box seems to keep cheese well, but it's annoying that it's just a little too short to hold a standard big block of cheddar.

It's a good container for keeping cheese organized. Pretty durable.

If you are on the hunt for good quality, slimline, airtight, classy-looking and stackable solutions for your pantry or drawers or fridge, then LOOK NO FURTHER. I have tried Sistema (lumpy chunks of plastic and very ugly), Oxo (very nice looking but huge and clumpy, and the mechanism to make the lid airtight is total overkill as well as the white lids going off-colour yellow if exposed to any light), and various other brands (e.g. Masterclass containers and others). THESE ARE THE NUMBER 1 BEST DRY GOODS CONTAINERS ON THE MARKET. They are small enough and slimline enough to truly double the space in the pantry (rather than overflowing with plastic), the square shape is great as you can use all the space on a shelf including right in the corners, they look equally great on the bench top on display (as well as in a pantry or fridge), they are truly 'stackable', the lids are easy to get on and off in a jiffy. You can use the same solution for your drawers (see-through tops), your pantry, your bench-top and your fridge (if you are OCD like me and like a true 'set'), and these little gems even fit into your fridge door as some of the other models are as slim as a carton of milk. By the way if you haven't seen them, the same brand does fantastic dedicated fridge storage for cheese and cold cuts, and they also do the holy grail, a meat defrosting and marinating box which is absolutely brilliant . As I say, look no further than this storage solution (and not I'm not on commission just an ordinary Mum who has a small kitchen and needs good storage and has really overspent on plastic storage stuff in the past to maximise space!!!!!!!).
