Worth it
A little on the expensive side compared to other displays in this size, but worth it for the smarts built in. I replaced a basic lcd with this one, and for the same functionality, my arduino mega went from 83% full to 8%. Nextion editor super easy to use and figure out

The screen is good, but nextion's editor falls short
So, without making this too much about the company, I'll say this - the TFT screen works perfectly out of the box, no need for calibration scripts etc. Using the editor on a Windows machine can get you set up with a functional GUI fairly immediately. Now on to the annoyances - Nextion is a turd of a company. Their editor idea is great, and it allows a lot, but there are shortcomings that make it a pain for anything other than setting up pages and elements. If you want to do more complex interfaces, Nextion's handling of its own global variables is useless. If you're on an Arduino IDE compatible microcontroller and getting a Nextion for the first time, be prepared to shift all of your dynamic coding (aside from pages and element placements) over to the microcontroller. To do that, you have to do some research on the Arduino site to be able to send your Nextion commands over serial. A pain to figure out, but once you do it's fine to work with. Also, the Nextion screens' handling of fonts is GARBAGE. No antialiasing, converters create strange skewed monotype blocks out of every font that have unevenly sized letters and spacing. They want $200 USD from you to buy a single quality font....absolutely stupid. Workarounds are being made by users, but as of right now the screen is just gonna have ugly fonts because no one should be paying $200 for that.

Works great with my MMDVM horspot
Nextion displays are just such a great addition to ta hotspot. Make sure to look into the Nextion interest groups on social media and find a nice design to upload to it.

Fantastic display, will get more
Fantastic display. But I made the mistake of getting this basic version, when there is an Enhanced version for ~same price and has more features...
