Engraved Silver Boot Athame

Fail! The finish on the scabbord was flaking off and sharp to the skin. Be prepared to use a dremel or grinding wheel, or long hours of hand honing to put an edge on this athame. The blade seems of half way good steel and the handle also, it has not yet turned copper. I was unpleasantly dissapointed when I saw mine had a broken tip or at least it was flat at the top. For 21$ and change I wish I had ordered a simple wooden athame, they are cheaper, and the metal flaking issue would not be a problem. I expected to do some sharpening but man, this thing really needs a lot of love to really be worth it.

I wasn't sure about this athame when it first arrived. The only issue I had with this (if you could call it an issue I wouldn't) was that it was a little smaller than I expected and it's box doesn't seem very durable, but it was still wrapped and came quickly and in great condition. The design is beautiful and after having blessed and used it it's proved beautiful useful and great for my altar. It's one of those items that grew on me now I absolutely love it.

This athame is a lovely addition to any altar, it is finely engraved with a beautiful design, similar to a wolf howling at the moon(on the handle) on the sheath, a four legged creature is evident among the filigree vines.

The carvings on the athame are not as intricate as I thought they would be..somewhat primitive. However, I'm happy with the purchase and it will look great on my altar.

I love this knife, I wear it on my boot and it looks great.

Really beautiful and just what I wanted

It looks nice and came in a very timely fashion. The only issue I have is that it wasn't quite what I expected. It is still nice though.
