I must admit I was very sceptical about this type of product - so I set it 2 tests...The first was to check if it actually covered my clothes in 'fluff' as other customers had described. Of the two loads tumbled a light and dark load, neither has resulted in any more that I would expect when drying a mixed loadThe second was to time a 'sensor drying program', which averages 1hr & 50 minutesAdding the drying balls reduced this to 1hr 17 minutes -33 minutes less than than previous average (30% lower*)If this reduces my tumble drying durations* consistently, then theses will pay for themselves 'in no time'Very happy customer!

We had dryer balls recommended to us by an engineer who was fixing our dryer as a way to reduce the likelihood of clothes catching on the lint trap and causing the machine to jam. So far so good on this front but the biggest surprise has been how much more quickly a load of clothes now dries. If you've never tried them before, give them a go! They'll presumably have paid for themselves in electricity saved in the coming weeks as we run the dryer for shorter periods now.

I have never used dryer balls before, but the prospect of faster drying with fewer wrinkles was enticing, so after some research I purchased these wool balls (based on the many positive reviews). Unfortunately, despite following instructions, the drying time was longer if anything. The bed sheets were wrinkled (absolutely no improvement on normal), everything smelled a little of sheep (not ideal), and worst of all - in my completely white wash, one pillow case was dyed a yellowish colour, and some other parts of the duvet cover also picked up a yellow colour! I have since read other 1-star reviews and see others had the same issue - just wish I had read them before buying. Given the number of high reviews, I'm not sure if something could be done to improve their efficacy, and avoid the staining, but I will sadly have to dispose of these.

I was skeptical but it does decrease the drying time due to keeping air circulation inside the tumble dryer.
