I've seen so many negative reviews for all manner of salad spinners listed on Amazon so I was quite nervous about making this purchase.I am pleased to report that this is a good quality, sturdy salad spinner.The pull-string mechanism is easy to use and doesn't require much strength to operate. The plastic used is rigid and the lid sits nicely in place during operation. The spinner doesn't slip thanks to the rubber ring on the base. Spin speed is good and the stop function is very handy - no need to wait for the basket to slow down and stop spinning.Provided you don't overload the basket, salad and herbs come out almost completely dry.The small version of this spinner would, I think, be absolutely fine for any small household.Absolutely delighted with my purchase (and relieved after all the pre-purchase anxiety). I would happily recommend this spinner to others.

Very happy with this. Easy to spin and sturdy. Large capacity. Metal bowl is looking good and feels sturdy. Very happy I chose this model. Very easy to clean and use.

Strong design. Should've bought the steel bowl model instead of the plastic - per recent research has revealed plastic is now found in human blood. But the plastic is well designed in any case. It's fairly easy to clean and the pull spin gizmo is excellent with a good break.

As per headline, the small spinner, although very well made and sturdy, is really not very good for anything more than a small cos lettuce heart.The mechanism works well enough and the bowl is very well made, however, to say the small is for one/two people's worth of items, is stretching it a bit. Unless you're the type that considers a salad is one leaf of lettuce and a handful of olives.But, if that's all you need or are happy to spin in cycles, then this will work fine.

effective in spin drying

Love the size of this, my previous one was much larger, but not as good. Also love the fact that that you just pull the cord and it has a stop button! My hands are very grateful!

This product looks very well made and sturdy. However, it does not dry lettuce very well and despite spinning small amounts for a long time there is very little water removed. I have tried shredding the lettuce but still it remains wet. Also the suction does not work. You also have to hold the lid on with one hand whilst pulling the cord with the other because the lid comes off easily. I don't think this product is worth the money.

I bought this due the the pull system as it’s preferable to a handle which can be awkward, I already owned a smaller spinner but the handle system doesn’t help as you are getting older and arthritis is setting in so I ordered this as I already had a Zyliss chopper which is brilliant, this arrived the next day after ordering and I thrived it that day just a couple of pulls and it worked a treat, yes it’s big but it gets salad driers as it has room to move, I’m happy with it…

this salad spinner is great if one make a smallish amount of salad and this spinning mechanism is far more efficient than the ones with push down

Zyliss quality as always. I bought this to replace my last one (broken when somone stepped on it!). It was 25 years old and still worked.
