We got this pool filter and upgraded from a much smaller filter. So far it's been well worth the money. I have cut the hours that I run the filter by more than half and the pool is cleaner than ever. Installation was pretty easy, once we figured out how to angle the pipes. It took some creative thinking due to the space we had to work in but my husband got the install done in a few hours. I haven't had to clean the filters yet and we've had it over a month. Also, my automatic pool vacuum works 100% better with this new filter! Overall, we're very happy with this purchase.

Working well for now, made the water crystal clear. But don't mess up the install as the unions are impossible to find and the seller doesn't offer any parts. I had to Jerry rig one from Amazon after ordering 8 different styles one fit enough to not leak but do not lose the orignal union screw as nothing fit in its place. So I think in the long run getting parts for this will be nearly impossible when things break down in the future. But for the price it's working great I just wish they would offer parts.

As many have stated in reviews across the web these units XtremrpowerUS cartridge filter units rupture, blow water all over flooding back yards and emptying pools. This happens due to substandard materials and malfunctioning pressure relief valves. Mine split across the top about 20” and had it not been for my backyard Ring Camera I may have had an empty pool that’s about 28,000 gallons. These units have a long history of poor quality and failing structurally. A $700 piece e of junk that could cost you thousands in so many ways. And the SELLER ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT stand behind these units past 30 days. 1 year—“forget about it” My Hayward system lasted 20 years and while the price nearly tripled in 20 years it’s built to industry standards for quality and more importantly SAFETY! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY XTREMESPORTSUS POOL FILTER SYSTEMS.

I was really concerned at first since it wasn’t a big name brand….but at the end of the day it’s just heavy duty plastic and filters right? So I went back and forth for months and finally decided to take a chance and I’m glad I did. I installed this myself as your average DIY’er, and 6 months later I’ve had no issues. It works perfectly. Maybe too early to tell if it will hold up over time in south Florida, but I run my pump 24/7 so this thing is always working and is a beast. I will update if things change - but you can feel comfortable buying this. Update 7-25 - still works great, no issues

Very simple to install and does a great job, built well. My pool builder was going to charge me 200$, lucky for me he didn’t call back and I did it myself in under 2 hours. No more backwash and very easy to clean cartridges. LOVE IT 😎

This is so far a great unit at a great price. We have a 30,000 gallon pool and it’s keeping the water as clear as ever. And without the sand and backwashing. Only thing I wasn’t expecting was the inlet being so low on the unit. It was lower than the outlet from my pump so I would have had to put a tight elbow in the line to get it right. Instead, I put the unit on some blocks and raised it above the pump outlet. Problem solved. Not a big deal but just be aware. Other than the platform modifications mentioned, install was easy and it works like a charm. Definitely recommend.

No vacuum valve

Doesn't even last one season. Save your money and buy a different filter. The weak point is the filter manifold. It is thin cheap plastic that can't withstand 20 psi filter pressure. The plastic stress cracked and is no longer usable.
