Excellent RAID: works with 16 Tera but cooling issues.
This has some excellent issues like setup and reliablity with excellent craftsmanship. Cooling however is another issue: The front cover blocks two top drives from cooling, it has one exhaust fan and some idiot put a mesh filter on the front grid. This design suggests that if a mesh filter gets blocked there is no exhaust and Your expensive Tera drives will cook. I got rid of the mesh filter and attached two front pushing fans without the front cover; Now it works perfect. There is not much thinking out here since I analized it and if one uses large and expensive drives one has to make sure that the system is bullet proof. With these cooling changes Now it is. This was a replacement for my Mediasonic USB 3.0 Pro Box Mod. HF2-SU3S2 Rev which was and expensive DOOR STOPPER being unuseable because of constant disconnestions without any solutions. It works Excellent with Huge Drives. Its very fast with 150 megs/s in transfer mode. Using it as a backup and play for Synology station. Excellent as so far. Erik.

Doesn't work with Mac
It looks great, but doesn't work with MacBook. I downloaded the software as instructed and it just doesn't load or do anything. I found a window that than latter suggested contacting the manufacturer as the software isn't compatible.

Works well with my existed configuration

It works but putting it into service is lacking good instructions,.
Many thanks to Bobbie Richardson for writing their review for raid 5 installation. Upon receiving my new 8 tb hard drives, I started installation and config of a Raid 5. After hard drive install, which is quick and easy, I sat up the switches for Raid 5. My computer saw each drive using my computers disk utility. I then formatted each drive. After completing that task, I rebooted my drive array and then ran the software that came with this unit. The program opened but saw no drives. I finally went to Amazon's web site and read reviews. After reading Bobbie Richardsons review, I followed it and ran the software as administrator. I then saw my drives as configured for Raid 5. The drive array is working fine at this writing.

Great 5 bay USB RAID. Software is iffy but seems unessential.
Does exactly what I needed it to. Got 5 10TB drives running in RAID5 mode. Works seamlessly on both Windows and Linux so far (Iโm using NTFS as my file system). Great for archival storage. Though the software seems spotty. That said, it seems you donโt actually need the software as far as I can tell.
