Belly Button Healing: Unlocking Your Second Brain for a Healthy Life

A fantastic easy to learn and simple to use method for anyone into health and healing.
As someone well into their senior years I have been into various forms of health and healing systems, methods and techniques (Tai Chi, Qigong, Ki, Chi, Yoga, Reiki, Quantum healing, Therapeutic touch, Dynamic breathing and numerous other energy healing programs); however, I had never heard of this particular therapy (Belly Button Healing: unlocking your second brain for a healthy life by Ilchi Lee) until recently. When I saw this 152 page soft cover book on Amazon I immediately purchased it because the title sounded interesting.I just finished reading this book and though I was somewhat skeptical at first, after practicing the techniques taught in the book I discovered there is a real value in this health and healing method. I was quite familiar with the belly breathing techniques in this book and when combined with the belly button massage methods I found it to be a very pleasant and effective healing technique. In fact, I now include this belly breathing and massage technique in my seated Tai Chi classes I teach to seniors. This excellent book is organized into nine informative chapters covering the following topics: What is the belly button, the physical perspective, the energy perspective, and the philosophical perspectives, guideline for practice, belly button breathing, belly button massage, healthy belly button exercises and stories of healing. The great things about belly button healing are that it is easy to learn, simple to practice, and can be combined with a wide range of other healthy exercises and healing systems. I now use the belly button healing techniques with my senior Chair/Seated Tai Chi/Qigong/Yoga exercise program.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Seated/Chair Tai Chi, Qigong/Yoga stretching exercises for seniors and the physically challenged).

The Belly Button has Purpose!
Belly Button Healing, the phrase itself makes you want to giggle like you were 5 years old again. But the belly button has a larger purpose than a little dent on your abdomen. As the title says ‘second brain,’ the gut really is your second brain. If something is not right with your digestive system, it affects the entire body. And what is at the center of your digestive tract? Your belly button.Ilchi Lee has written a very informative and eye-catching book. As I learned more about my belly button and digestive track, I could easily follow what he was explaining. The colorful illustrations really helped with grasping and applying the concepts Lee was providing. The first half of this book is explaining Belly Button Healing and how the belly button connects to many vital organs. For me, this was VERY interesting since I always thought the belly button was just, well, a belly button. But it’s so much more. The second half of this book is the practice of Belly Button Healing. Lee walks you through step by step of simple Belly Button Healing techniques. You can do these solo, or with a partner. The book provides very clear and simple diagrams for performing Belly Button Healing.I look forward to practice Belly Button Healing for myself and to help improve my health.

Not what I expected.
This may be really good information for some people but it wasn't all that interesting to me.

Helpful Reminder
Great information put together in a new way in one place. Not as tricky or deep as some might want. For me, it was a great reminder.

Unique, inspirational, helpful
This book is so unique and pioneering. Focusing on the belly button just seems like the right thing to do. After all, we started receiving nutrients and oxygen (life!) through the belly button while we were in our mother's womb. It only makes sense that activating it stimulates very deep and hard-wired information - which can lead to profound healing. How fascinating!

Useful information but hard to read!
Kind of boring. No colorful pictures or charts which I was expecting! Faint print; not easy reading.

but I know a lot of people who tried it and liked it. So
This sounds really strange, but I know a lot of people who tried it and liked it. So, I got past my reservations about the name and tried the method. I ws amazed. I'm diabetic and my A1C went from a dangerous 9.0 to an optimal 7.0 over the 2 months that I used it. It's simple and easy and I feel much more relaxed when I do it. It's definitely worth trying it.
