It did the job I needed it for ,but Fimco sprayers are only good for a couple years .

I tried to buy a Workhorse brand, but after going through 3 new ones that all leaked, I thought I'd step up a little in price to this sprayer. Initially, this one leaked too, around a plastic fitting. After applying Teflon tape it still leaked! Then after putting a generous amount of pipe compound around the threads, it finally held! Talk about relieved! I was about to give up and keep filling a 2 gallon pump sprayer! After all that, I do love this sprayer. It has a much better pump than the Workhorse and the pressure stays steady wherever you want it after adjusting the valve. I mounted it in the back of a side by side with the tailgate down and strapped in. I use a separate lawn tractor battery and have it in the back also. I just charge it after every use. I can either ride along and spray or stop and get out. I recommend this sprayer for the cost and quality. Kind of a pain to always clean it out after every use, but this is what they recommend to keep the chemicals from causing damage to the pump.

Most of the fittings were loose. It went together well and that’s the only plus. Operation is not smooth, fluid, or comfortable. Boom nozzle does not stop running when you turn off the pump. They would probably siphon off the whole tank if you don’t manually turn off the valves. Spray is uneven. Center area of the coverage is almost void while the outer edges are very heavy. You cannot use the hand sprayer at the same time as the boom sprayer as there’s no way to shut off supply to the boom while you’re using the hand sprayer. By the way, the boom nozzle is hard to find and when you do it’s $50. For one! I get that it’s not a $1000’s of dollars sprayer but for close to $500 it is sadly insufficient.

Pro's- Pump has lots of power.- Large tank opening.- Fairly quiet.Con's- Drain is not low enough. you have to tip the tank to completely empty.- The rear sprayers are not adjustable.- Spray pattern is not uniformed.- Wand hose is not 15'.- Hoses going to the rear sprayer are too short.- Valve adjustments are too hard to reach (using a side by side).

So much for the reliable pump! I used this sprayer twice and cleaned and stored it indoors. On the 2nd use the pump was pumping just fine and then it suddenly went dead. I checked all fuses. They were fine. The pump is officially dead.I will contact the supplier and try to get a new pump. If they send a truly reliable pump it I may add more stars. For now this expensive sprayer gets only 1 star.
