continuity as well as the standard AC functions found on most multimeters but with a good degree of accuracy
So I wanted a Multimeter with multiple functions including diode tester, capacitor testing, continuity as well as the standard AC functions found on most multimeters but with a good degree of accuracy. I wanted this but did not want to spend $500 on a Fluke. Based on the reviews I bought this for my small electronic projects and computer repair work. The multimeter is coated in a rubberized chassis design with rubberized probe brackets. The probes are high quality with an included thermocouple. This design is rugged and should last for quite some time in most light to medium duty environments. The meter has far more capabilities than I need and is fairly simple to use. Ohm Range is from 600 to 60 MegaOhm, 600 mV to 1000 Volts DC, 6VAC to 750VAC, 60mA to 20A AC same for DC. Data hold is nice and the user interface is easy making it a pleasure to use. With this unit I now only need one unit for my projects simplifying repairs. Accuracy is pretty good with all functions with the exception of the built in Thermocouple which I found to be inaccurate. Overall this a nice well priced Multimeter for the starter and novice electronics techie that needs a do it all multimeter that one can toss in the toolbag and not worry about breaking the unit and losing half a grand like much more expensive units with similar functions. The price is right and the unit is very good for my needs.

A must have electrical multimeter.
This kit is an absolute must-have for anyone trying to do their own electrical work. As a novice with electric repairs and projects this set of tools has come in extremely handy and saved quite a few shocks and headaches. All three pieces are very well-made and easy to use. The non-contact tester and the plug tester are very straightforward to use, especially after a quick read through the included instruction book. The multimeter is extremely nice and the included manual really helps novices like me get the most out a very versatile tool. Handy, well designed and high quality! MULTI-METER uses 2 AAA batteries. It feels substantial with its rubber armor-like case; and sports a large ¾ display with handy hold button that maintains the reading after removing probes. There are both 1.5V and 9V battery settings. Full meter is standard, effective. Outlet tester is great - lights visible both sides, handy for upside-down outlets or awkward spaces. The digital multimeter is very easy to use to diagnose a wide range of electrical problems. The digital numbers are large and very easy to read. The set comes with two batteries used for this meter, and two for the voltage tester. The non-contact voltage tester works perfectly to locate AC voltage to diagnose any electrical problems.

This is the multimeter you need for simple home repair
PROS:*More functions than most at the price*Non-contact voltage testing*Everything you need includedCONS:*Thermocouple doesn't work (or I'm not using it correctly)*Could use better storage box*Unclear instructionsThis multimeter works perfectly for a home user. I'm definitely NOT an electrician or other pro, but I had to do some work around the house that involved voltage and resistance testing. This absolutely did the trick. It runs pretty much every test you could imagine (although, as I said, I don't use terribly many of them). It also has non-contact voltage testing, which sets it apart from most multimeters at this price. It's also easy to use, and seems well-constructed. The only thing that didn't appear to work well was the thermocouple. I'm not sure if that's just because I'm using it wrong, but I couldn't get an accurate temperature reading on it.The package includes a set of leads (those in the know tend to say they're crappy, but they seem to work just fine), the thermocouple attachment, and a set of batteries. They're just in a cardboard box. I'd have liked to see some sort of case, or even some resealable baggies for the leads, but for far cheaper than pretty much any other multimeter with these features, I can't complain. There is a book of instructions. It's adequate to find out where the different settings are, but the English isn't good enough to tell you how to use a multimeter if you don't already know how.

Great Multimeter!
Awesome meter for the price. If you are in need of a multimeter that has more functions than you will ever need, stop looking and buy this one! For around $20 with amazon prime, you can't beat it anywhere! Even at full price it is an awesome deal! I bought this meter because I am building circuits that draw over 10 amps, and my old meter wouldn't cut it (only goes to 10 amps). That being said, try to find different meter that you can run 20 amps of dc through for cheaper, and has as many features at this one. You will be hard pressed. Also, pretty awesome that it comes with a thermocoupler, now I can really see how hot my projects are getting on the surface, and not just point my temp gun at it, and get an average of the scanned area (I don't have a nice fancy FLIR). The NCV function is nice, and even works on DC circuits, and a nice quick way to see if an outlet has voltage or not. Can definitely tell this was intended for an electrician. This will probably be the last multimeter I will ever buy!

Crashed and burned
Had it for 5yrs approximately. Used “occasionally”. Well taken care of. Then just like that stopped working properly. Acting like leads were permanently shorted to each other. With or without leads connected to meter. Nothing worked.

It's inexpensive but not cheap
Solid meter with all the functions an amateur like me would ever need. The NCV (non-contact voltage) measure is worth the price alone if it stops me from touching a live household wire...again. The built-in backlight/light is very bright, and the thermocouple (temperature) seems accurate as well.It feels good in the hand with a thick soft plastic cover. The leads are good quality as well.I was tempted to buy a much more expensive meter with fewer features, but decided to give this a try. I am pleasantly surprised. For the price of <$30, it is a remarkable bargain.

Three Stars
Great multi-meter but its kind of misleading how they put two sets of test leads in the photo
