Memories....
Having lived in France for over four years, the aroma of d'Armenie brings back warm memories. These little paper gems are so simple, easy to use, and amazingly fragrant; there is no wonder why they are a staple in almost every French Household. For anyone who is curious on WHAT exactly they are, its pretty simply equated to incense, the only difference is that they are small sheets of paper that you fold into an accordion shape, place on a plate or dish, one end is lit briefly then blown out. As the paper smolders (for about 1 minute), it leaves an amazing bouquet of floral and sandel wood scents behind that linger for days. I was so thrilled when I ran across this on amazon, and at such a great value too.

As used in Parisian hotels
These are delightfully fragrant, and will clear stale or unpleasant odors quickly. Produced in France since 1885, the inventor discovered that the resin from Styrax trees was typically burned in Armenian households to banish bad odors, so he created these papers using the same resin, Benzoin styrax, an essential oil similar to vanilla. You tear off an individual strip, fold it like an accordion, light it like incense, and blow out the flame to let it burn down slowly. You can also use the strips as bookmarks, which help prevent mold and mildewing of book pages. Because the fragrance is plant-based, it does not cause headaches from chemicals as is the case with so many perfumed products.

Best Way to Freshen the Air
I'm not a fan of air freshener/scenting type products and am usually the person in the room moving away from the source and/or discretely (I hope) holding my nose! These papers are terrific! They are quickly consumed (reducing the open flame anxiety) but provide a lovely, refreshing scent. And, let's face it, the whole French ambiance is attractive!I'm still working out a proper holder (there's a tendency for the last bit not to burn when folded and put in a dish). I've seen the vendor's holders (too big). That aside, I will continue to use these papers and plan on sharing with friends.

Scent does not last
The scent is a bit too sweet for me. The strips burn up quite fast and the smell doesn’t really last in the room. It would just smell like burnt paper after a while. Full points for aesthetics though very vintage looking and great addition to my candle display console. However it’s a bit overpriced in my opinion. Would not buy again

Work well, long lasting
Great but very strong smell. You only need a small piece so they last for awhile.

A lovely Parisian Reminder
Love these papers. The scent reminds me of my times spent in Paris, in smaller spaces, when a refreshing scent is sometimes needed.

The sent this is a big box!!! With plastic bubble wrap!!!
This tiny, lightweight item came packaged in a big box, with plastic bubble wrap around it! It could have gone in a normal envelope, it's not delicate, it's not fragile, it's very small. Why on earth would this supplier have packaged it in that way. Do not buy from this seller, ever.

Incense papers
So glad I found these on amazon. I found these first while on a trip to Paris, France. I picked them up in a health food organic store over there and burned one as soon as I got home. I had only purchased two booklets which I regretted immediately when I smelled the comforting and delicious smell these papers create when burned. I was jumping for joy when I found them on amazon. :) yay. These are really So wonderful.
