Sped Up My Daily Workout Ride - Edit: Sidewall Rubber Cracking Already!
I write this during the Covid-19 situation. I used to workout at the gym everyday, now I'm biking everyday for exercise since all gyms are closed.I do about 45-50 minutes on very hilly residential streets on my old 84 Gary Fisher Montare. Since replacing the great off road Velociraptor 2.1 tires with these, I've had to add way more distance to my ride to compensate for the increased speed. (26/2.0 version). For example, the spot I used to get to at ~ minute 20, is now ~ minute 15! They also track and grip well so far. I have not had them on wet, or off road conditions though. I'm running them at between 50-60lbs pressure. I was lucky to get the pair at a very good price from SDJ.I'm hoping these don't wear out too fast. As I mentioned, this ride has many long steep climbs with much torque on the rear tire. That leads me to mention a great feature of these tires. There is not a version for front, or rear. So, they can be rotated. I'm sure I'll be doing that whether they wear out fast, or slow.Edit: October 2020 - To my great disappointment, I find both tires are severely cracking around the entire rubber sidewall! There is even small cracks/tears under some of the outer tread knobs. These daily rides have been on dry, clean streets. The bike stored inside. I have used no cleaning chemicals, etc.I have off road WTB and Panaracer tires literally over 10 years old that I used in very harsh conditions. They still have enough tread to still be good as back ups. None of them have any sidewall rubber cracking!I'm degrading my review from 5 star down to 1. I now have to worry that the tires will fail while I'm on a fast descent, etc. The rear tires tread is also wearing down faster than I had hoped.A good tire design ruined by inferior rubber.

Durable, inexpensive and heavy
They are as advertised and feel like a landcruiser. Not light, but i knew the weight before purchase. The wire bead makes mounting them a bit more work than avg. The grip is fine for pavement and unpaved/hard packed trails and forest roads, but they float and dont track particularly well on really loose ground, deeper gravel or sand. I have not tried them on any technical trails, so no comment on performance in that area. I would buy them again for all around use. For reference, they are on a higher quality 90s rigid steel ride that serves as a commuter, errand, mtb rides with my young children, and running the dogs bike on local trails.

Durable dual purpose tire
We purchased 2 pairs of these as an upgrade to our new mountain bikes around 6 months ago. We have ridden around 1200 miles on them (85% road, 15% gravel/dirt). We had no flats and very little wear (the cheap tires that came with the bikes were always getting flats). For road use, we inflate them to near max pressure, and they ride with very little rolling resistance and no hum/vibration, as the tire rides on the smooth center rib, like a road tire. The key on softer dirt and gravel is to deflate the tires (I like 20 psi rear/13 front) allowing the tire to pancake out a bit and roll over the dirt instead of digging in. Much easier riding and not as twitchy as a hard tire, and the knobby treads make contact.

Good tires.
So I have been riding on these tires for 5 months now... Grip, for sure... Durable, believe it... Do they hold up on a trail you ask? Why yes, yes they do. I have been really satisfied with the tires and if they are still selling in 5 to 7 years when I need more, I will buy again.

Priced right, shipping takes a little longer from overseas
Priced well for what you get. Tires were shipped from UK, so it does take longer than you might be used to with a Prime purchase. To be fair, they did arrive 1 day before the stated delivery window. Now I am not a cycling guru who constantly brags about their calves and am only an occasional rider and pretty novice, so take this opinion with that in mind. The tires have much rounder profile than what is depicted in the picture. The sidewalls fell pretty soft, but seem to be fine upon inflation. Inflation range is marked 40-70 psi. Put mine about 50 and seems pretty hard. Didn't have much of any problem getting them mounted.

Low quality tires - got punctured by miniature thorns
With less than a week of use these bad tires got punctured, and damaged the tubes, by two very small thorns. Not recommended!

Good idea - poor reality
I'm using my mountain bike for road and off-road use and the rear tyre (knobbly) was getting very worn. These Schwalbe tyres looked like a good compromise.Unfortunately within a few metres of heading off-road on one of my frequent routes I realised that these Schwalbe hybrid tyres are effectively useless on muddy surfaces. The continuous centre ridge of rubber causes the tyres to tramline continuously and they slide around A LOT. When the centre contact patch does eventually dig-in the bike lurches and it's easy to get thrown off.Add the dreadful traction into the mix (I was seated on my hardtail MTB and was wheel-spinning on level ground as well as on the climbs) and they really sap your energy. On the road and compacted gravel tracks they are OK. The rolling resistance is less that for a knobbly tyre, but that doesn't make up for the very slow progress off-road.On my regular 24 mile route, 1/3 off-road and 2/3 on road, these are no quicker overall than with my old knobbly tyres. As a hybrid tyre, I really can't recommend them.

Decent pair of tyres but no white-wall appeal
These Schwalbe Land Cruisers were bought to replace a pair of crusty, 20-year old tyres. They feel so much better in comparison, a decent thickness with good tread depth. Can't comment on puncture resistance or wear rates but they seem pliant enough to be comfortable and road noise is OK too.The tread pattern is designed to rotate in a specific direction so check the markings on the sidewall when fitting to make sure you don't put they tyre on the wrong way round. The tread is chunky enough for general off-road use too.My only complaint is that the Amazon picture shows these tyres with a white stripe around the sidewall and they were picked for that retro feel (they were being fitted on an an old bike). The tyres that arrived are plain black, apart from the 'Schwalbe Active Land Cruiser' logo on the side. So sadly not as retro-looking as we'd hoped.

Great Product
Arrived over a week earlier than expected....can't knock that.Put them on to replace old worn knobbly tyres, as doing most of cycling on roads at the moment. Wasn't convinced the different tread would make much difference, just need to replace worn old tyres, but thought I'd try and see...And yes having different tread does make a difference, Im converted....as described were quieter and smoother, but also took nearly 4 mins off usual 15mile ride. Only used a few times since fitting, so can't say about puncture protection (know they are only level 3), but haven't so far. So far very happy with them.

NOT AS ADVERTISED.
The tyres you receive are a cheaper version of the ones shown in the picture , they don't have the reflective silver outer edge. Very dissapointed at the misrepresentation of this item , would have returned but didn't notice until fitted.

Good balance between road and muddy paths
Straight replacement for the ones on my mountain bike which had perished somewhat after 15+ years in a leaky shed. Tread is a nice balance for road and dirt; I have no plans to climb any mountains. The writing on the sidewall looks cool too I guess and the price was comparable to (e.g.) a Halfords tyre but delivered to my door.
