Seems to work
I bought this as I am well known for killing houseplants due to over watering in the winter time. As a test I have 2 pots of citrus trees grown from seed. One pot I watered by eye and they are now all dead. One pot I used the meter on. Every week I test and when the meter is below half way on the gauge I water. The trees in this pot are still alive (bar one). I read reviews when buying this and was concerned about it. Certainly it is cheap looking and I doubt it will stand up to hard use as it does not appear the most robust. But it seems to do the job for what I purchased it for.

Completely Inaccurate – A Waste of Money
I purchased the LINZI 3 in 1 Soil pH Meter to test a soil bed I’m preparing to be acidic for blueberries. After testing it four times, each reading gave me a different result. All readings suggested the soil was either acidic or borderline acidic, which was not possible based on the actual soil conditions.I then switched to a liquid pH test kit, which immediately showed the soil was neutral (pH 7.0, borderline alkaline). To be sure, I borrowed a professional tester from a neighbour, and again, the result came back as 7.0.This LINZI pH meter is useless. It’s a waste of money – you might as well just throw your cash away. I’ve also noticed that many similar products, with different brand names, are all made by the same manufacturer. If you want accurate results, save your money and invest in a better product. This one is awful.

Soo far so good.
I only wanted to find the ph of the soil I was planting blueberries in and I spent days looking on line for something that would do just that and not also give me the time of day when the sun rose in Bangkok the winner of the fourth race at Ascot and my inside leg measurement and eventually settled on this because it had the least negative reports,As yet I have only tried it on a few non Cretaceous areas of soil and it is nonplussed.I live in hopes that when I get the Ericaceous compost I have ordered it might give me a reading I am looking for. I live in hope.

potentially a good value for money buy if it works
Unfortunately the ph tester didn't work, even when placed in a bag of ericaceous compost there was not a flicker on the needle. returned for a refund. The moisture meter did work, a pity about the ph as it looked on paper good value
