The Gnats of Knotty Pine

I love the graphics. The story is also beautiful, however, I will read it to my son when he gets a little bit older (he is 3 and a half).

I bought this book after reading positive reviews 'from teachers' of the author's books. This is a dated book that depicts crazed hunters with guns blasting everywhere as the smart gnats attacked. I get that this might have once been looked at as humor but the idea of shooting innocent woodland animals by goofy looking, gun toting hunters is repugnant to me. Would never read this book to my grandson.
