ArnoldOEM-751-10300 Genuine Parts Replacement Gas Cap for 4.5-6.5 HP Engines

It's a fuel cap for a lawn mower, not a cure for cancer, so I'm pleased to report that this MTD brand cap model listed as the correct part for my MTD mower ALMOST fits well. On warm days, when the filler neck at the top of the tank swells a bit, this cap is a bit hard to get on, but maybe the next one will go on a little easier. I say "the next one" because I fully expect the top of this cap to crack within 2-3 years, as have the 2 before it. If I'm lucky, the whole mower will go up in flames soon so I can justify buying a newer walk-behind from a reputable brand, instead of cobbling along indefinitely with this cheap machine on shade-tree repairs like my family would rather see me do for 5-10 years.

Man! What can I say?! This gas cap is just AMAZING! The fit in my hand as I screw it on. The fit, and snugness. It’s ability to hold the gas in the tank! It’s unmatchable. It’s the Tom Brady of gas caps. It is the true champion. Only onward and upward for me now! No blade of grass stand a chance!

Wrong cap. Said it fit my mower and the picture did not have enough detail to tell otherwise. This is a threaded screw on cap. I needed the cam type that secures with a half turn. This difference should be noted in the product description.

Fit perfectly, sorry to say I ran over my OEM gas cap and of course it was destroyed. I have a TORO 6.5 HP self-propelled mushing push mower with a Briggs and Stratton Engine. When you order the cap make sure you know the brand name of the engine, not the mower, the caps vary in size. In this case, I had to order for a Briggs Stratton engine. I order both caps but the second cap fits my Snapper riding mower, i.e. if I lost its gas cap.

Fits perfectly on my 190cc Briggs & Stratton lawnmower. Lost the original cap somewhere in the garden, and have been covering the gas tank with clingfilm and an elastic band in the hopes of finding it.Not sure how other companies think $10 is a an acceptable price for 50 cents of plastic moulding.
