Upon receiving the item there was a weird smell- like think nursing home scent. I’m not one to write about products with smells as I hardly notice. This was a noticeable strange smell that knocked me back for a second. After it aired out, it was fine. Scent went away.Pros/Cons:I like the material and the key. The green is a beautiful color and it’s beautifully vintage inspired.The lock only locks the top part so I used a hair tie to fasten the bottom knob on to the lock before closing and locking it. This now secures the bottom drawer too. I needed both compartments locked as one of my kids has broken many pieces of my jewelry.I have a mix of smaller pieces and big, accent or longer pieces. This box is a lot easier to store shorter, less bulky necklaces and smaller earrings. If you like more delicate, smaller pieces this box is perfect. I was able to hang some dangling earrings, but others were too big or risked damage when closing the box. A lot of ring space, if you wear rings. I only had a few rings (about 7) and only took up the first row. The bottom drawer is great for 6 bracelets, but I used this to store big accent earrings or bulkier jewelry.I liked hanging the necklaces in the back of the box on little hanging push tabs and the ability to secure it. I liked putting in earrings into the earring backing wall. The earring backing wall was tricky at first. You do need to get the earring lined up straight and a firm push or move to another slot. Do NOT force or it will bend the backing. After awhile I got the hang of it and could insert the earrings without any issues.Overall, I was happy because even with some problem solving I was able to fit all my jewelry securely inside and know my jewelry is safe now from getting lost or broken by little hands in the house. It’s a fairly medium sized box so if you have a fairly large collection, you’ll need a bigger box or two of these.I put 28 earrings, 7 rings, a brooch, 10 necklaces in my box.Space I have left over: Plenty of room for 11 more stud earrings and 2 more dangling pairs. Lots of empty rows for rings (4-5 rows).

There are plenty spaces for pierced earrings and more. Love the black “ leather” and it is sturdy.

I was looking for a jewelry box for my actual jewelry (non-costume). Overall I’m satisfied, but I’d make some notes here for people looking at the item.1. Not Velvet - the covering is more like suede, but whatever the fabric it does not shed and is nice to the touch.2. Earring section - I have pretty standard earrings (the posts seem to be of a standard quality and circumference). I could not get them through the dedicated board for earrings without causing damage or bending the post. It’s tight. I’m not going to use it in the suggested way.3. Drawer isn’t on a track, so just be mindful of how you push the drawer back in.4. Lid - the lid is pillow top, or soft and pillowy to the touch. That’s the best I can describe. I don’t think you’d want to put much or anything on top of it (if looking to stack this or put things on top of it).5. Necklace area - this is the part behind the earring board, I’m satisfied with it, but want to note that if you bend the little cutouts over enough, or weigh them down repeatedly, I can see them bending over completely after some time. They are not dedicated hooks so keep that in mind, just cutouts from the lid (if that makes sense).I am keeping the box because I like the color and it suits my needs overall. I hope this helps someone.

Lots of space, chic design. I love the tray at the bottom for all my odds and ends and I love that the spots dedicated to earing are basically earing backs, so they aren't going anywhere.Well designed and structured.

The back piece where you are supposed to put earrings into is really tight and you have to SHOVE you earrings into it and it kept bending the backs of my earrings so now I just have that whole piece doing nothing in the jewelry box and when you open it its that piece laying flat down and its the first thing you always see, not your jewlery,

The quality is relatively good. Not top of the market jewelry box, however, it will suit my needs.I am planning to take it with me abroad when I travel to the UK for school. I'm hopeful that it will hold up. It does have some significant weight to it (when empty), but if its worth it to you to bring your entire jewelry assemblage with you when you travel, it may be worth the buy. I'm bougie 🤷🏽‍♀️Attempted to use a small, zip travel case recently and it didnt hold up for all of my things. I'm hopeful this will work 🤞🏼
