GloFish Anemone Ornament, Detailed Aquarium Ornament, Large Green, Creates A Glowing Effect (Pack of 1)

This is something that I enjoy getting for my GloFish tank. It does add color to a tank filled with colorful fish. I have a couple other tropical fish that are compatible with GloFish, such as a rainbow fish and angelfish. Really just a gripe on this ornament is that it can get quite messy overtime and get somewhat difficult to clean thoroughly. I do have one misconception of this anemone ornament product to clear up. Some have said that this product left in their tank was the reason for their fishes death and stating it is toxic. I've kept this GloFish Anemone ornament and similar ones from PetSmart in my tank for over 5 years. Can easily say this product is not a fish killer so no worries on that front. But at the same time considering I go at least one of these a year it isn't going to last you forever. But if these are on a sale it's a cheap decor that is colorful and won't harm your fish in any way.

I bought this thinking my axolotl will have fun crawling around in the tentacles little did I know a simple aquarium decoration could cause such chaos by no fault of the decor. Axolotls primary food source is earth worms, which look and feel very similar to these tentacles. Apparently axolotls have a very strong bite despite being slippery and slimy with no teeth. I was fighting for my life trying to pry the stretchy tentacles from my axolotls unforgiving greedy wet jaws for a solid 15 minutes before calling in reinforcements (my boyfriend) who fought with me as he gently opened my axolotls mouth while I pulled the tentacle out of his throat like a child coming on a spaghetti noodle. I’m in the end I was surprised no tentacles gave up breaking off in my axolotls mouth despite all the pulling. It’s a very strong toy and if I had maybe some small fish I would definitely give it another try but I will not put it back in the axolotl tank. Randy gives it a 10/10 for taste.

I have a hospital tank. And because it's treated with medication I didn't want to have live plans in it like I have in the rest of my tanks. This is soft and it flows with the water current. My betta loves to sleep in these. Highly recommend.

Great value, good size for my 55gallon tank. My plecos love cleaning it, and my guppies love swimming in it, the glow fish not too interested but definitely looks good. Pictures shown without black light, which really makes the colors pop even more

It's vibrant and my Molly likes it and it doesn't hurt the fish. It should be rinsed in water once a month.

I actually used this for tide pool activity for my Pre-K class. It was perfect for what I needed and easy to clean after. Just a heads up the anemone can easily remove from the rock. Other than that I would definitely recommend this to someone, especially since it's a great price for what you receive.

When I opened the package there was an extreme odor of chemicals, I suggest putting it in water for 2 to 4 hours before using it in your fish tank. Although there were some quality issues with the manufacturing. There were quality details with the painted tip of the tentacles and some of the tentacles look off.but for me, worth the price, if you have a Blue light on your aquarium, this will look beautiful on it, and also is cheap.
