Hat did not recover well from shipment folding, even after steaming gently and using an iron.Fit also a bit tight, but just acceptable.

The hat was good just didn't fit

It arrived on Sunday 25/06/23 I’d ordered the night before.I was fishing that evening and put it in my pack.When I arrived the sun was absolutely ferocious, I put the hat on, it was very light, and was superb at keeping both the direct burning skin I would have got, and the sun out of my eyes, important when watching a float or rod tip for hours on end.Then a single huge black cloud slowly crawled across the sky, and the enevitable down pour unleashed its full fury for 6 or 7 minutes, it was so hot I didn’t cover myself at all, and my shirt got soaked, but my head stayed very dry, even tho I could feel the huge drops of rain hitting, not a sign of water other than sweat was inside the hat.One minor downside,As the sun was moving from left to right, I was distracted several times by the sun light coming through the brim of the hat. But that’s not a complaint. And will probably get another one in a different colour.

It does the job and keeps the sun off of my head.

I am going to South Africa for hunting safari.Needed a light weight hat to protect from the sun, foldable, color could not be light to spook animals but not so dark it would be hot. The light green camouflage pattern is perfect. Many hats the brim is way too wide or too small that it would not protect neck from the sun. It’s even water repellent. Unbelievably light weight. Love this hat.
