Resurrection. A beloved chair saved.
This product is a lifesaver for this recliner. My german shepherd, who was bored while I was at work, decided to see how the chair was made and dug a hole through the seat. The leather was ripped to shreds.The foam and batting underneath were totally demolished. So we had to put in a one inch dense foam in most of the seating area. Then covered that with denim from an old pair of jeans. A patch made with a 3 inch wide leather tape was put down along the front edge to give a little extra support. Then came time to attach this fabulously sticky vinyl. Be sure you have moist hands to handle this material. IT WILL STICK TO ITSELF. We are thrilled with the result.

Awesome buy
Put on my recliner seat that had ripped and was about to be thrown out. Really amazed how good the patch adhered to the torn area and hasn't came off. Giving me a few more years of use. Worth every penny save me from spending another thousand dollars on a new recliner.

Great for large area patches!
Was able to patch two large rips/holes 12x12" size on a all leather couch that will be a man cave couch now.Peeling off - too early to tell but sticks better than duct tape :)Durability - too early to say but its thicker than the couch leatherThere will be a edge where it meets the coach leather no way around that unless you fill it in.Color does not match but close enoughIts not a professional job in looks but also better than nothing or white duct tapePros - its l wide and long enough to cover larger areasLooks - Well i did this alone in 5 min with a pair of scissors. I think its a 2 man job to help peeling and getting wrinkles out while applying it. I ran out of patch, yes I could have done a better job with help and more material. Oh well its a NFL football man cave coach, a throw blanket will cover it. Go Lions! :)I am not sure if its real leather or Naugahyde. Heard the last Nauga was shot 2 years ago :)

Not again
This tape does not stick well, especially if it gets wet. It works better on flat surfaces, but if you got to use it other than on flat surfaces, it doesn’t work that well I probably would take it off the chairs that I put it on and try something else. I will not purchase it again..

Totally satisfied;
Extremely pleased in every way. Fast shipping and the quality is beyond expectation. Some mentioned it might have weak adhesion but I can't imagine it being any stronger. No problem there. My repair was on a flat surface and appears nearly identical to the leather. Had L shaped sectional and removed the corner piece, covering the area without leather. Don't know how well it does on curved surfaces, but for my application I couldn't be more pleased.

A little like lipstick on a pig, but hey, way cheaper than re-upholstered.
I am getting my 2000 Ford F150 ready to sell. Driver's seat was in a shambles. I should have taken pics before putting any material on. The Drv seat was covered with holes in the upholstery. I did get the one picture of the side of the back, imagine this condition all over the seat. I started by using duct tape to close up the holes. Duct tape is far stickier and provides a good base by covering up the exposed foam. I know the duct tape will hold because I have had duct tape on the driver's seat for about 7 years and it stays put. But it sure is an ugly look.The material was not wide enough to cover the whole seat side to side. I chose to go vertically hoping it would stick better over time. Don't know. You can see I've put the duck tape on vertical and it stays. Anyhow, you can see the series of steps involved. The first pict is of the passenger seat, just for reference. It's aged but has no tears or foam exposed. There are picts are the drivers seat. I have driven the vehicle since the patch and it seems to be staying in place. Then I showed a bit of the process on the passenger seat. I should have done the passenger seat first and learned how to make the cuts. The driver side cuts are very messy. Note: even though I loaded the pictures in a step by step order, Amazon does not recognize the load order. Thusly, the picture order is jumbled.Overall, it's a big improvement over the decay. The material is the right thickness. The glue seems like it could be a little stronger. Don't let it fold over on itself however, it will be stuck close to permanent. Some general purpose spray glue is helpful when covering fabric materials. The price is very reasonable considering the alternatives. I bought one roll. Tried it out and bought the second roll. So far, I am pleased with this purchase.
