The Final Country

Excellent book. Especially character evolution. My first Crumley novel in 15 years. I found the frequency of climatic interpersonal violence, interspersed with detailed plans for more had metastasized to dominate the story. It seemed as though Milo took only one breath. Reading TFC enervated me to look James up on line. Interesting chap, especially as compared to Milo and CW. Sitting "like a Buddha", with his disciples, dispensing allegorical advice on crafting literary mayhem .
