what is the finish on the spoons?

It is a low gloss finish. I was very happy with them. I would not recommend ever putting them in a dishwasher. Like all wooden utensils, hand wash and immediately dry. I was very glad to add these to my dinner table and I actually purchased two sets about a month ago.
