We had a family trip to the Dominican Republic. My dad does better with a cane when traveling and doing a lot of walking, but I could see that he might not want to always have to worry about having to hold and remember to grab his cane for everything. I found this cane and it was perfect for his needs. It is sleek looking and very sturdy. It adjusted to his height and was very durable folding it up and putting it back together multiple times a day for the different activities we were doing. The flashlight worked great in dark/dim lighting at night so we could all see where we were walking. This is a great product and he was extremely happy with it. He now loves that he can grab it and throw it in anyone’s car easily without talking up a lot of room.

I almost didn’t buy this because of negative reviewers but I’m glad I read some descent honest detailed reviews. Anyway, this portable foldable cane is very high quality for the price. It DOES come with a nice black draw string bag with “Vive” logo on bag. The integrated LED light is really good quality and the perfect brightness for it’s intended purpose. It also comes with a nice plastic holder that keeps the cane in nice order when it is collapsed. If you want quality and affordability and great build quality, this is the one. (I’m 218 lbs) and find this cane very sturdy and solid.For those that said their flashlight didn’t work - you have to logically unscrew the battery cap upon first use and remove the circle paper tab that isblocking the negative end of the two inline AAA batteries. LOL

What I liked most was that the package arrived on time and rather quickly. I didn’t like the fact that I had to reorder the item twice and both times there were missing items. Did not receive travel pouch as advertised

I've had 4 spine surgeries and have suffered some nerve damage in my right leg. My balance was lost right from the very first surgery. I can no longer walk without a good cane.I purchased this cane 7 months ago. Right from the get go, I put a quad tip on it. It seemed super at first. The cane was sturdy, easy to fold, and the light on the handle was a big plus. Within a month the light started to flicker on and off, and was flashing often. I had to pound the cane on the ground to get it to stay on, and that didn't always work I found myself using it in dark places in my house, only to see it go out, or flicker to a point where it was useless. As a result, I almost fell twice. Soon, even pounding didn't work any longer. I accepted that the light wasn't going to work and still thought it was a pretty good cane. However, it rattles a bit, and has a bit of movement between the sections. But, it still served me well, despite no light...which I missed. I just noticed that the cane would no longer stand on the quad tip as it has usually done. I realized that somehow, the can has curved slightly. I don't know how, or why this has happened, but, nevertheless, it has. It might very well be my fault, but I don't know if it is, or how this happened. But the bottom line is, I really need a new cane. And I was very happy with this one at the beginning I would have given it 4.5 stars. Now, a questionable 3.

So many problems. I am 5'3 and could not adjust to fit my height so had my handyman cut off 1 and 3/4 inches at the bottom. The handle is very hard on my thumb joint and had to take it to a bicycle shop to have it wrapped. Didn't solve the problem. The gizmo which holds it together when folded is much too clumsy to fit into a pocket or medium size purse. Found something at Staples to bundle it. So $21.00 dollars later I am leaving on my trip. Spent nearly $50.00 for a product that I am still not happy with. Why didn't I return it? Good question. Didn't open it upon delivery and ran out of time before my trip.

This is a pretty great product with some big flaws. It's lightweight, compactable, sturdy cane. I ended up using the flashlight a lot more than I expected to. Unfortunately, it's the flashlight that was the flaw.The beam is super narrow, so you have to point right at something if you want to see it. Not the best when you're using the cane it's attached to to keep you upright. Also the flashlight flickers in and out, sometimes necessitating a good hard whomp to turn back on. The flashlight ultimately stopped working altogether.Otherwise, this is a great cane.

This cane is very sturdy. It works well with the optional tripod tip to make it self standing. I use the light a lot more than I thought I would. Because I have a winter home I decided I needed a cane for each home. When I went to buy one I found they were unavailable so I bought a look alike Ranger5 cane and was very disappointed. It was priced about the same and looked just like the Vive cane but it wasn't stable, wouldn't stand on it's own on carpet and was difficult to fold.

I bought this cane specifically because of the light, bought cuz l was going on a trip to PR. PR is known to lose electricity randomly, l figure, l get the cane with the light, so if we lose power, l could see and make sure l don't step on a frog, lizard, rooster, you name it, before l left to the airport, l unpacked the cane, light worked well, but as l boarded the plane, no light, we had switched batteries prior to leaving, so this product sucked, it was not sturdy either, a disaster..l do not recommend..l should had gone by the reviews and not purchase..is not nice to take money from a senior with a useless cane...

Pasaron dos meses y ya no sirve la lámpara.... Fuera de eso, como bastón plegable funciona bien, aunque a mi mamá —que es para quien lo compré— quedó un poco alto, pese a ser ajustable.
