My cat had to take new medicine & it was really upsetting her. I got the #5 size capsules, but they were a little too small to fit my cat's medicine dose from her vet. I then, ordered the size #4, & they were a perfect size to fit my cat's medicine with a bit of room to spare. The #5 & #4 look very similar in size, but if I had used the smaller #5 capsules, I would need to give my cat 2 capsules to fit her dose, & I didn't want to do that, so the #4 capsules are a perfect size!! My cat's favorite thing as a treat is cold salted butter. I know it's weird, but she loves butter more than anything. She only gets a little bit, stuck on a spoon, & she likes to lick it like a lollypop while it's still cold. The vet told me my cat's medicine would taste very bitter & that's when I thought of empty capsules, so that my cat doesn't have to taste the bitter pill. After crushing up her medicine dose & putting it inside the #4 capsule, I slice a very thin, small piece of butter, just enough to wrap it around the small #4 capsule. Then, once it is coated in a thin layer of butter, I tilt her head up a little, put the buttered capsule in her mouth & I hold her until she swallows the capsule with the butter on it. I always check her mouth, & make sure the capsule is gone. Since I have been doing this, she doesn't get so upset about taking her medicine. She will give me a mad look right before she swallows the capsule. Then, I let her lick the spoon that has a little left over butter on it. That's her favorite part & I think she knows she gets butter in exchange for taking her medicine. Once she is sure the butter is gone, she will want to eat breakfast or dinner, since she gets 2 doses every day. I believe the butter also helps her with occasional hairballs. Since it's slippery, it works better than that gooey stuff they sell for hairballs in cats. She really hates how that stuff tastes. I hope my cat knows I'm giving her the butter capsule because I am trying to make it a better experience for her, or not as bad, & also make it easier to swallow, & it tastes like butter, which she loves so much. I would highly recommend these gelatin capsules. The size #5 $9.99 & size #4 $6.99 was a big price difference, but I opted to keep the #5 capsules, just in case I need them for her, should her dose go down. I highly recommend this seller & these capsules are great for my cat. I know it makes it a better overall experience & I'm very happy these shipped out & arrived the next day!! We have a cat that has to have regular medication, pills that I have to quarter. It was very hard to get them down for her until I thought to try a capsule. MUCH better!! I fix up a little pill box for her for a month at a time and the capsules make giving her daily medication a breeze.

Can't beat the price for the amount great value. These don't have an 'off' or 'weird' smell like some others do, there's no smell at all. They are good quality, they aren't brittle at all. The size is perfect. These are just an overall great option if you're needing empty capsules.

These capsules are great! They make swallowing pills easier, finding the right pill, etc. The different color choices work to know which pill is selected. If a pill falls on the floor, it is also easier to spot than a small white pill.

Our cat takes 2 prescription tablets. One must be broken in half and the other into fourths. In order to make medication delivery easier, I bought these empty gel caps to fill with her two meds. Using a pet pill popper with them simplifies the process even further! She's gotten used to the process and the gel caps make it MUCH less stressful for everyone! They're a little fiddly to handle because they're small, so I work at a table over a towel. Using the colored gel caps makes them much more visible. These have no aroma or taste, so kitty doesn't mind taking them.

I use gel capsules to hold various herbs and supplements to make them easier to ingest. I've actually purchased this product in multiple sizes from Amazon and elsewhere. They're substantially less expensive at Amazon than at any of the various whole foods/health foods markets I've purchased them from in the past.The only thing that annoys me about gel capsules is that the smaller they are, the more tedious and frustrating they are to fill. But that's not a product defect or anything, it's just how it is. For easier filling I would recommend buying larger capsules than you might think you need and only partially filling them if that's what the dosage calls for. These #4s I bought are the right size for the supplement I use them with, in that the proper dosage completely fills the capsule. But it was such a PITA to deal with that now I use a capsule twice that size and only partially fill it, which makes the entire process about 80% faster. The price difference for the larger versus the smaller sizes is negligible and the few cents extra are well worth the ease of filling the larger capsules.As stated, I'm a repeat buyer of this product. That should tell you how much I like them.

These are perfect and snap in to place perfectly. The size was perfect and I am so happy I purchased this. The chart that is pictured is accurate and I was able to accomplish the goal of a lower dosage.

PET OWNERSCAUTION SIZE 4 FITS NOTHING!I ordered this to put Denamarin liver pills for pets up to 12lbs enteric coated tablets in. This size was suggested on many dog sites, I don't know what size pills they're giving but if you look at the photo my baby aspirin won't even fit crushed into the capsule.The liver supplement cannot be cut or crushed and the gel cap will not protect it from dissolving in the stomach so the gel cap is useless. The purpose was for ease of administering to the dog did not smell or taste the product.You CAN'T return the item so use caution when ordering sadly I now have to try and make my money back by reselling this product online somewhere.Product is packaged nicely delivered quickly nothing wrong with the product just the size of the product
