SGPRO TR15 Wireless Clip-On Saxophone Microphone System

I've been using this for a month and am amazed at this set-up. I play on theater-sized stages and needed a mic that could transmit over a large area. This mic does the job well and at a very reasonable price. The mic sounds great and, after running it through multiple soundboards, I am very satisfied with the sound reproduction. I have no need of the EQ and Echo because I run it directly into a Harmonizer pedal with its own EQ, Delay, and Reverb. The receiver always recognizes the mic when turning both on. I actually use the USB cord to plug the receiver into a outlet so it stays charged and I don't have to worry about the battery. Both units have on/off switches. The convenience of not having a stand-alone receiver taking up stage and case space is wonderful as well. All in all, I am very satisfied with this product. ********************************************************************************************************************** TWO YEARS LATER: Two years and many theater shows later, the whole set-up works perfectly.There have been ZERO drop-outs on a large stages and rehearsal rooms. I've even walked out into the audience and up the aisles playing the sax with NO mic problems whatsoever (the mic and the receiver always immediately pair up and I've never once had to change the signal frequency). Ease of use and total reliability of performance have made me extremely satisfied.

The sound, range, and battery life are all excellent. I love the 1 press "mute" ability. MOSTLY durable although I've had an antennae fall off (it didn't affect useability, though!) and an LCD screen break somehow. The unit is a little on the large/bulky side, as well. The built-in effects are passable but 9/10 times would prefer the reverb/delay of the board or a decicated unit. They seem to compress the sound digitally and just take away from the quality of sound of your horn to have effects, instead of enhance it. I love the bulit-in eq to take out some low-end key noise on my sax. Overall, a great value! Since they're so affordable, I bought 2 to have 1 as a backup.

UPDATED: My husband and I both play horns in our band and switched to these microphones a few months ago. My original review was below BUT... we started losing connection on both our mics. We ended up trying to run XLRs so we could plug the transmitter right in front of us. We normally have it only about 5-6 feet directly behind us and we had to move it in front of us as it seemed we were blocking the signal with our own bodies. That did help, but we still are losing signal and the mic is cutting in and out during performances. Last weekend, my husband had to just play into his vocal mic. WOULD LOVE SOME HELP! Anyone else have this issue? We play in a 6-piece band with 4 IEMs and no other wireless mics or devices, aside from our ipad connections to our dedicated wifi router. PRIOR REVIEW Great clip, making it very easy to switch horns quickly. I like it over our other microphone set up which was a separate horn mic, which locks you in to one place and volume is inconsistent if you move around at all. I love the freedom of having the clip on mic so we can move around the stage, play to each other and entertain more :) it also makes it easier for me to sing and play. Very happy!

This is a great mic! I use it for solo and duo shows playing saxophone. I bought a second one after using the first one for a few years as a backup. The range is also good, guessing a good 60 ' or more.

Excellent sound, initially. In fact, the echo and volume function on the transmitter was exemplary; but the transmitter stopped working during a performance and the display on the transmitter screen went blank...had to then use a microphone stand which limited my ability to enjoy playing... Would accept a new SGPro.

I bought two of these for our gigs. We play out several times a month in breweries, restaurants, some outdoor events, etc. The first unit is working flawlessly. The second one I bought, the microphone transmitter part all of a sudden stopped working. It wouldn’t turn on. The battery was fully charged. I contacted customer support and the sent me an entire new unit free of charge and told me to keep the other faulty one and dispose of it. I’m glad we kept it because the new one I received, the receiver couldn’t make it through a full 3 hour gig without the battery dying. I was able to pair up the receiver form the faulty transmitter mic with the newest one and they now work perfectly. One is on an alto sax and the other on a soprano sax. I wish the mic arm was a bit longer for the soprano to reach mid horn when clamped to the bell, but that’s the only issue. 5 stars for the awesome customer service. Great sounding system too.

It’s going strong after three years. This mic system has an excellent range. I use it for recording and live performances. I have looked at other mic systems but this system is the easiest to use. I suggest that you perform a thorough audio check. At that time you can make adjustments to the receiver. You can increase or decrease the sensitivity of the system. The battery maintains its charge for four hours. I put that to the test.

Ich nutze das Mikro als Wireless-System an meiner Nykelharpa. Ich hatte damit noch nie Probleme und der Sound ist fantastisch. Die Akkus laden auch schnell und halten für mehrere halbstündige Auftritte an einem Marktwochenende. Zudem sitzt der Sender fest ohne das Holz des Instrumentes zu beschädigen. Dafür war mir auch der etwas höhere Preis was wert.

Direi perfetto, per il mio utilizzo in live ed in sala prova è molto performante, non va in conflitto con altri apparecchi Radio ed e molto comodo e pratico per quanto riguarda l'aggancio a pinza. Qualità del prodotto ottima

No me funcionó, se entrecortaba mucho, no sé si el producto venía defectuoso o en los lugares donde son mis presentaciones hay mucha interferencia, terminé por devolver y el proveedor me regresó íntegro el dinero así que no puedo poner mala calificación, tal vez solo tuve mala suerte, pero todo llegó bien en cuanto al producto solo que a mí no me funcionó!
