I love these for freezing leftovers in portion sizes! Once they are frozen you can pop them out and put them in a zip lock bag, three bricks will fit in a quart size bag most of the time. I freeze so many things now so they don't go to waste......juice that isn't going to be finished, salsa, apple sauce, leftover soup, chili, broth etc!

Originally ordered this to portion soup for the freezer. Only two of us in the house & soup pot always makes enough for 8 to 10 portions. It has markings on the side for 1/2 & 1 cup portions. Easy to pop out frozen portions & put into zip bags for a quick lunch or dinner on lazy days. Had an abundance of lemons this year & used this tray to freeze juice in 1 cup size for lemon curd. Finding multiple uses for this tray. Wash on the top rack of the dishwasher.

i used it to store soup but it did not last long though i did not use it often. the edge broke when i wash it today so it can no longer be used.

I store my homemade broths and soups in these. One cup is good portion size.

Freeze individual portions of soup or stew or really anything with a light liquid content (ground meat or meat loaf too) and reheat as needed in the microwave in a separate bowl or in a small pot.

I was concerned about buying a silicone ice tray since I have had a bad experience with lesser quality silicone trays where the ice expanded and was nearly impossible to remove from the tray.THE GOOD: The portions are clearly marked and the perfect size. I made a batch of chicken broth and froze 4 individual cups for later use. Within 24 hours they were thoroughly frozen and easily removed from the tray for further storage in freezer bags (labeled and dated). The silicone cleaned up easily. It's a good size and fit easily in my small freezer. I think this tray will pay for itself as I continue to freeze home made broth instead of buying it.THE BAD: It is silicone and even glass will take on a chicken soup smell after a while. I cleaned it twice and used vinegar but I can still smell a bit of chicken broth smell. I plan to purchase a second one to use for freezing my sweeter liquids (ginger concentrate and lemonade concentrate). I plan to use one for salty liquids and one for sweeter liquids. I do feel that it is thoroughly clean even though a bit of smell remains.NOTE: This is great for freezing broth. I wouldn't freeze any soup that had potatoes in it because potatoes really change their texture after being frozen.

I’ve bought like 3 of these. I use them to store and freeze pasta sauce, beef and chicken stock, etc. they are super easy to use and save space in the freezer.
