Not even in the same category as the regular plain-jane soy sauce. It is a bit more expensive, but flavor wise worth it the slightly higher charge than generic.

Definitely a major upgrade to most soy sauces
It's got a beautiful red tint like a puerh tea, it's got a wonderful smokiness, a deep and complex flavor, a slight sweetness, and the perfect balance with a touch of sour (from the fermentation). The umami is pleasant. It isn't too salty by any means. I just wish the bottle was larger for the price, it isn't extremely strong so I find myself using a lot more of it than I expected.

This stuff is delicious. I'll bet this stuff is far and away more delicious than the soy sauce you're currently using.

Are used to think that all soy sauces were created equal but that is not the case with this one. As I was reading about this one I noticed they get high reviews online so I decided to try it. It is very delicious and it’s not watery like most soy sauces is are. It’s not thick like honey, however, it pours on just a little bit thicker than your normal soy sauce. I personally like that because I don’t have to dump half the bottle on sushi or anything else and have it sitting at the bottom of the bowl. The taste is very good, probably the best I’ve had. I wish this product was available when I was in Japan. The next time I go to Japan I’m going to take one of these bottles with me. LOL

Not worth it.
Disappointed that the tamari sauce tasted so bland. The reduced sodium is healthier but the taste should be important too, especially for the cost.
