Review: Perfect for Exploring Toddlers & Kids - My 3 1/2 year old daughter loves to pick up lady bugs, worms, beetles, etc. We couldn’t find anything at home or in local stores to put them in that allowed them to breathe. This bug jar by Hape Explorers was a big hit! She has so much fun walking around our yard looking for different things to collect. I love that it has a magnifying lid so she can really get a good view of her findings. The wrist strap is an added plus and the size is perfect for kid’s hands. It’s easy to use, and is made of quality, durable materials. I will say, though, smaller insects like ants and earthworms were able to escape through the breathing holes on the lid. Ladybugs & larger insects would not be able to escape.
