Great size for people of 4, easy cleaning and quality, lightweight and easy to use for draining. Good value as well.!

I made this purchase to cook potatoes, yams and other root tubers. The product does a pretty great job, I wanted the strainer in the cover so that I won't have to use a collander, it does that function well. I like the part to steam vegetables, this is a great bonus also, since it performs two functions. The product is a little light in weight, but it works wonderfully for my purposes. I bought a used one and the quality was excellent, just like new, no signs of wear and tear at all. Over all I'm extremely pleased with my purchase.

Learned the hard way, don’t add salt to your water until after its boiling. Never had a pan or pot do that before, it’ll burn at the bottom.The strainer on the top makes things easy!

The media could not be loaded.  I made the mistake of using a metal utensil the first time I used it. Huge mistake...it scratched horribly! Probably will be good for cooking pasta, but not for browning meat for soup.

It would have been a great purchase except it doesn't work on either of our induction cook tops. It specifically says that it is induction compatible so this is unfortunate. Have to return. If you don't need it for induction it looks to be a completely decent pasta pot.

I ordered this pot to cook pasta and be able to drain it through the lid. However, once the pasta was done, the lid does not lock and the only way to drain the water is to hold the lid on with a potholder while you try to hold the handles, turning the pot upside down. The water is very hot and steam is dangerous. I did not notice that the lid did not lock before I used it. Do not buy this pot if you were looking for pasta pot. My return window has closed so I can’t even return it. Very disappointed.Also, the picture of the lid on Amazon is a stainless steel lid which is what I received. However, many other reviews I have seen talk about a glass lid. Very confusing.

Would be better if had a locking device

I spent a long time choosing and waiting for this item. Thought it looked great, but it is NOT induction compatible as claimed. So, it’s totally useless to me and now I’m supposed to package it and pay to send it back because I don’t live near a free postage depot. Very unhappy.

This pot is a great size, easy to handle when full. I use silicone oven gloves when handling it and when draining the pasta, so the lid doesn’t come off.I had an 8 qt pot before with a lid that locked in. I still held it when draining the pasta, just in case. That pot was a little large for me.The only negative thing about it is the quality of the stainless steel. I have used it only 2-3 times and the inside on the bottom of the pot is already discoloured (purplish). The instructions tell you to not use steel wool or anything abrasive, so I guess I’m living with this discolouration.Overall a great size, great drainage lid, bonus steamer basket.

with dorm items needing replacing pasta pots are popular and handy to give out and a good time to replace one's own essentials - pretty sure a past pot will be a well used go to - this is a very light weight stainless steel and the 5 qt steamer insert basket is small - a one size serving space, also the cover is loose, not advised to be used as a strainer, it will probably cause scalding with hot liquids involved
