Buying kids bikes is a bit of a minefield. They are all heavy and made cheaply. I went for the Schwinn as they at least are reputable. In fact the bike is no different to the cheap Halfords ones. The bearings in wheels and crank are so cheap most of the effort to pedal is to overcome the bearing friction. It's heavy (but they all are) the front tyre has a slow leak through the valve core (could happen to any wheel, so I haven't marked them down on this, just FYI).Wish I had saved myself £50 and bought a cheaper bike as I would have been no worse off
