Great wheelset. Best upgrade I’ve made.
I found the other reviews for these are accurate. Great quality, look, feel, and performance for the price. Both wheels were true out of the box. I bought these to upgrade for a Specialized, entry level road bike. I’ve noticed my average speed has increased by 1-2mph with no other changes.Don’t worry about crosswinds. I live in a flat, windy area, so I considered getting the 40mm version instead. I’m glad I got the 50s. I haven’t noticed any effects on handling, even in 10mph crosswinds (5’10”, 185lbs for reference).A couple of comments:1) I’m pretty sure Queen Bike and Sunrise Bike are shipping out if the same factory. I bought these from both, and the packaging/labels were identical except for one sticker that has the “store” name on it.2) The packaging is exceptionally cheap, to the point I was questioning my purchase before I even pulled the wheels out of the box. Don’t panic. I found my wheels were spotless and remarkably true.3) These come with brake pads, but not the holders/shoes. My old brakes were the one piece style, so I had to go buy the correct holder before I could install them. Not an issue, just something to be aware of if you’re looking to install and ride these immediately.4) I agree with the other reviews. Buy tubes with 80mm stems. Don’t mess with the included extenders.

A comprehensive review
I’m a nyc messenger and do a ton of miles. Usually about 50 per day. Around half of people told me to stay away from these and the other half said to go for it. The first thing I noticed is that these are pretty light and seem to be well made. Right out of the box they spin smooth and true. They look ok on my Litespeed. I really hate decals so I go the “clear” ones. They are tolerable. Day one I did 66.5 miles in about 30mph wind in dry conditions. Overall I liked the ride. Both stiff and smooth. They make a “whirring” sound as they spin, especially the front. I’m not really sure what this is about but I will update when/if I find out. The hubs spun great all day tho, nothing like a new set of wheels right? The wind was TOUGH. I mean I was all over the place. Kinda what you expect from 50mm rims and bladed spokes. If you live in a windy place I’d suggest 25mm or the smallest offering. The stopping power was meh. Slightly worse than my super blown out Mavic alloy rims. It wasn’t that bad but it def took some planning to get stopped. I will be upgrading to Swiss stop next week. The generic pads seemed ok I guess, especially for free.Day two early in my day I noticed a ton of lateral play in the rear wheel. In fact my wheel was bumping both brake pads sometimes. The wheel still spun true but could wobble back and forth. I tightened the “cones” but it really didn’t change much. I’m not sure if the bearing suck or what but it reminds me of an old worn out hub. I really don’t think this is normal and there’s no way this will get better but I’m going to stick it out I think.By the end of the work week I’ve racked up 268.3 miles, hopped on and off dozens of curbs, and had a mild collision with a jaywalker. The rims are still true, crack free, and roll super smooth. By this point the brake track has “broken in” and the stopping power is now great. I can lock the rear wheel with ease for example. I’m still using the factory brake pads. I’m not sure if this break in period is normal but it’s nice to be able to stop really easily now. I’d give 5 stars (I might change my rating over time) but I really can’t get over the lateral slop in the rear wheel and have no clue what is causing it. I’ll be back in a month to update and then again in 6 assuming they still exist.EditAfter one month these are still going strong. Still doing 2-300 miles a week. The brake track is looking good and still relatively grippy. I got doored and the front took the brunt of the impact. No cracking or anything, I just trued it up and was back on the road right away. I originally gave three stars because of lateral play in the rear wheel but now I don’t really care. It’s still there but it’s fine and I’ve upped my rating to 4. At this point I’m calling a buy especially considering the price point.

Amazing wheels for the price
First thing I noticed was how it was packed. Very clean and professional. It came with two skewers that look and weight exactly like my easton skewers (57g to be exact). The finish was flawless, I couldnt see any damages or imperfections at the brake surface or vice versa. It included 4 extra spokes and nipples, and of course 4 brake pads and two valve extenders. One thing that caught my attention is that the brake pads were "superteam" branded. It could be that they bought some of their products or they are basically the same company. Also the rim tape was also familiar. It seems to be a solid wheelset. My initial thoughts were to swap the hubs for a pair of a new easton 11 speed hubs that I have aside for repairs, but these ones are very light, let see what happens. I'll do a youtube video about it, for the first 50 miles or so and then a 100...etc.. I'll keep this post up to date later on.I recommend this product if you are aware that going downhill mt. Everest is probably not a good idea with these wheels.Pss... (I live in florida, and pretty much don't need to brake that much at all)** 100 mile update.... I am starting to see some wear on the braking surface, I noticed that rear wheel braking surface is 2cm smaller than front tire. I had to cut the pads to fit the surface, not sure if it's normal. Not sure if pads are carbon compatible.*** 200 mile update. My heel got caught in the spokes while going downhill, wheel got stuck and tire melted and blew up, rim is intact I had to do a quick fix filling tire with only 50 psi. I was 20 miles away from home and I didn't care I rode like a maniac, when I got home rim was a little out of true but nothing to worry about. ☺ it was scary but rim does not show any problems it's like new. Going downhill at 30mph and having this is something that could had bent any rim.**1100 mile update. Still strong no issues so far, took them to my LBS to inspect them, they didn’t have to true them. My only concern is the braking surface, I don’t think they send me the right pads, I don’t recommend the pads they include in the wheels, but other than that so far so good.***5000 mile update. Still strong no issues so far. Nothing to worry about. Again wheels are rolling strong and true. I met a guy that had the same wheels but his have more than 10,000 miles, so if mine last that long I think that would be good.
