I noticed right away that this product is going to work well in my somewhat complicated drip irrigation system. I running this filter in the actual garden hose (I cut the hose and bought some barb fittings to make it an inline filter prior to my drip system). After the filter the water goes through a pipe where I branch off to a spigot for a hose on my deck and then up to another spigot that runs a Y with two water timers that go off on opposite schedules as to keep good pressure. The system works like a charm, however, I have to watch the fall for freezing temps and I blow out the lines with an air compressor and remove the plastic water timers to prevent bursting. Here's a cool trick, use half inch drip line that then tee off to soaker hoses with a valve at the end of each one for easy clean out each year. This save money on all those expensive drip irrigation drippers that can clog but it takes a bit of work to find proper fittings, hose clamps, and I use a touch of 100 percent silicon in each fitting to insure no leaks....anyway, it works for me and was a lot cheaper than a full drip system. You can replace the soaker hoses every 3 to 6 years if you like yet I've run mine for 4 years with only a leak now and again that I use a fitting on to fix.

Perfect! This is exactly what I needed to filter out the sediment that flows from the irrigation canal I use to feed my drip lines. I have had issues with the drip lines because they flow slowly and have small inlets and outlets. They have been clogging all summer, and I tried a few solutions, but putting this filter in the middle of the line has proved to be a perfect move after a few weeks of testing. I needed a few adapters to get it to seamlessly get into the line, but if you have any sediment in a drip line, this is a perfect solution. It easily unscrews and is well built. I doubt I will have any issues for years to come.

The filter itself works as described. I prefer this over the bigger Digg brand filters locally available at Orange and Blue simply due to size; much easier to fit into a valve box for underground drip systems. My inner filter cartridge doesn't have an o-ring like other mini brands, but that doesn't seem to directly affect performance. Just keep in mind this is not the PRF model version which has a built in Pressure Regulator. I wasn't careful when ordering and mistook this one for the PRF model. They look virtually identical. Overall great product. Just make sure its what you need.
