Star Tales Paperback – September 1, 2018

I have read this book five times already, it is that amazing! It is a must for any amateur astronomer, as it will be one of the most satisfying reads in your career! The vast amount of information on all the constellations and references to other useful resources have been the most terrific things about this book. Ian's website for Star Tales also has a treasure trove of material that hasn't made it to the book. I couldn't recommend this book more!

Ian gives a wonderful talk about the constellations on YouTube. I recommend it as well as his book. He as obviously been studying the history of constellations for quite some time. As a result, as is the case with all true experts, he strives to delight rather than impress the reader. All in all a wonderful collection of stores carrying with them twinklings of little known facts.

this is a starbook not a novel

This is a book about the constellations. It is an eye-opener and beautiful as well. If you ;ove the mystique of the heavens, buy this book.

Having had severla other books by Ian Ridpath I had expected a somewhat more detailed book. This has really short vignettes of eacjh constellation and is perhaps rather suited to a beginner.
