Q: What is the capacity of the box in milliliters?

Wow. I can't add 2+2 or tell a foot from a kilometer, but here's my best guess. I took a liquid measuring cup and poured 250 ML in the small, inner container and it just barely fit. I was able to put 300 ML in the larger, bottom container. Please keep in mind that the smaller container has a plastic lid that is spill resistant, but not spill proof. The larger peice is good for solid foods, but if your food it juicy at all, it'll make a big mess. I hope that's helpful.

Q: Is there a way to get a replacement part for this? I bought one years ago that I would like to use and am missing the lid for the center tier.

I'm sorry you have to buy a whole new bento box there is no way to replace just the top

Q: Do you have to use the second tier for it to fit right? Or can you just leave out the waterproof tier?

The lid will fit on ok without he second tier, but it is a little loose. The box comes with an elastic band to hold it closed, but it is not watertight on the outside box.
