My first graders loved this book
My first graders loved this book, and a great discussion followed. My students talked about how much they love technology, but how it's important to be outside and explore nature as well. Adults should read this too! A lovely picture book that K-5th grade would enjoy.

Perfect read aloud for our current situation!
I am so pleased with this book! Steve Antony never disappoints! This book is a perfect read aloud for classrooms right now! Blip shares how special her computer time is and that she can do awesome things with her time on the computer BUT also how fun and important it is to do things outside and have adventure! With life and education so dependent right now on education this is the perfect book to open the conversation for how to find balance, and still enjoy the outdoors! Teacher and parent approved!

Nightly Reading
Has been nightly bedtime reading by parents to grandson, now 4 years old, since 2019. Maybe there's something about this book that touches a connection the young know could easily slip away? I don't know, but as the giving grandma I'm proud it is there with Good Night Moon & Old MacDonald Had a Farm for nightly reading....

Great story about how being unplugged gives new experiences you ...
Great story about how being unplugged gives new experiences you wouldn't have had otherwise. It is a very short and to the point book, makes for a great read aloud for my class.

WE LOVE THIS BOOK!
This is the perfect book to demonstrate the power of going outside and being away from screens! Love that it's a black and white world until Blip goes outside and the world turns to color. We all need more outside time and unplugging these days. I so appreciate the message in this sweet book.

Great story with a great message
This story is sweet, and the message is lovely without being shoved down your throat. My kids ask for it every night since it arrived.

A charming tale with gorgeous illustrations
Blip loves her computer, using it to help her learn, play and see the world- all day long. One day, a power cut leads her to leave the house where she discovers the joy of being outside.‘Unplugged’ is a charming tale about the joy of disconnecting from technology and embracing the great outdoors. The story starts in shades of grey as Blip, a bright, happy little robot, is plugged into her computer. Whilst connected, Blip explores many things. She is not just gaming- she learns, exercises and plays- showing the computer has a positive side. Blip’s sweet little face registers a whole range of expressions, showing the talent of the illustrator! When Blip becomes ‘unplugged’, the illustrations change from shades of grey to the soft pastel colours of a fresh spring day. Here the layouts and text mimic those of the previous pages, but the pictures show Blip engaging with others and exploring the world for real! Although she returns to her grey world, things are not the same for Blip- she keeps returning to the freedom and beauty of the world outside. We all probably spend far too much time connected to technology and ‘Unplugged’ offers the perfect way of discussing this with children. Although acknowledging what the internet has to offer, it highlights the importance of connecting with others and leaving technology behind- at least for a while! The illustrations are gorgeous; Blip is adorable and I hope she features in more stories to come!
