Wire gauge is irrelevant. The tool just needs to fit the the pin.

I wish there was some kind of user guide to use the different tools. Is there a video on YouTube?

There are some videos for certain connectors but there are just too many different styles to show them all. Go to connector manufacturer to find it out how to insert/remove pins. I do know this set does not work for GM style Delphi/Packard connectors.

Lot of duplication here. How many unique tools are in the kit? I think I counted 32 in the top photo.

Although they look similar, there are subtle differences in these tools. As a field Service Technician, I come across a variety of different pin styles. Yes, you can make some "work", but I would rather have the right one.

Hello , None of these tools are are marked for any particular pins/plugs. You just have to search and see if you can find one that works for the plug assembly you have. It can be tricky choosing the right one, you really have to look at the plug close to see if the tool inserts / releases from the front or rear of the plug. Good luck.
