I was looking for ways to enhance my home's curb appeal, as I may be selling it within the next year or so. I had seen these hinges and handles on other garage doors in the area and always thought that they were attractive. I assumed that they were attached to a garage door with screws, so I was pleasantly surprised when I read that they're magnetic and are held in place by magnets (obviously, you must have a metal garage door for these to work). Since I have a metal garage door, I went ahead and ordered a set. Once I decided where to position the four hinges and two handles on my "plain Jane" garage door, I stepped back to the street and was astounded how they completely transformed the appearance of the door. It was a major improvement to my home's curb appeal at a very minimal cost. It took less than 5 minutes to "install" the 6 pieces on the door, and I did not have to drill any holes or otherwise deface the garage door. Although the magnets are not super-strong, the hinges and handles have stayed in place so far. If they start to move around due to harsh weather or garage door vibration, I'll apply a small amount of super glue to keep them in place. I'm more worried that since they're not securely attached to the garage door, they'll be stolen by neighborhood kids (who have already pilfered many of my solar lights and lawn ornaments).

Best accessory to enhance outside your home for the price. They adhere strong to garage & up stage the look of your home. Definitely recommend.

They move a little when I open the garage door so I am going to glue them when the weather gets warmer.

Just bought our first house. Inside is great but not feelin the pastel yellow which is probably part of the reason why the neighbor’s exact same house in white sold for 20k more. Oh well, we got the same thing in a different package. Anyways, I’d like to eventually paint the ugly garage door white like theirs. But this is Florida and it’s hot and paint does not dry so well in extreme humidity and 99 degree heat. (I don’t know this for a fact but it sounds right and I don’t want to risk making what will already be a sub-par paint job even worse). While I wait for winter weather to come to Florida, a.k.a summer weather everywhere else, I got these magnets in hopes of making our garage door less ugly. Well, I don’t know if it worked but it definitely distracts me from the pale yellow Easter egg color. Also I am lazy so will probably not end up painting the door now that I will have to take these down to do that. p.s. they are extremely easy to put on and move around but the magnet is strong enough it survived a hurricane a few weeks ago. Would rate quality and reliability 5 stars for withstanding natural disasters. Cannot attest to snowstorms or tornadoes however, but try your luck and let me know. p.p.s (or p.s.s. idk) I don’t understand why garage doors are painted to match the house. You cannot disguise the fact that it is a door and it does not look good. Moral of the story - get these for your garage door and maybe you’ll be able to sell your house for $20k more than your neighbor’s. Also please paint your garage doors white. It just looks so much better. Drive down the road and find someone with a white garage door and you’ll see what I mean. Goodnight.

Brightens up my garage door. Leary at first re the magnet hold but since I placed them 2 months ago they have not moved at all. Maintained alignment in 80 km winds. Well worth it!
