5 Steps to a 5: AP Physics 1 Algebra-Based 2022 1st Edition

Came in on time and was what I expected

Excellent product. Arrived in a timely manner.

I wish they would provide more space for us to answer but I guess it’s fine I’m not taking off a star in my review for something like that since I guess it’s meant for using separate paper, although slightly inconvenient. It definitely is a great book with great drills but the answers should be a little more thorough. For example it should explain how to do the problem in the answer key. Especially since sometimes I feel the key had an error, and maybe it did or maybe I made a mistake but if they show me what they did and explain their reasoning and all, it would be easier. Also if I have certain questions about something related to the book, contact information would be helpful. All in all it is a great book for practice though and I like the tips and strategies it gives me as well as warnings such as how the equation sheet may be given but I have to know how to apply it correctly and which given formula to apply, even if I don’t need to quite memorize the equations, it’s not as simple as plug and chug. I mean I still didn’t get a 5 on my actual AP exam despite doing all the content but it’s fine, they still looked like they made a huge effort in explaining clearly, even if explanation could be more thorough.

Light supplement for people who already understand most of the material well and want a quick refresher. AP Classroom live review videos, MIT physics 1 workbook (all free) are better for both learning and practice though, in my opinion.

Overall I think this is a good test prep book. However, don't be fooled....this is NOT a new edition. It is exactly the same content inside as older editions. I was very keen on getting a test prep book that reflected the recent changes to the AP Physics 1 exam and this edition says that it has done just that. Except it hasn't. I assumed that material that is no longer on the exam would have been removed and material that remains would be beefed up and that the 3 included practice exams would have only questions related to topics on the upcoming exams to give accurate practice. But it doesn't. The only "change" from previous editions is that the pages related material that will no longer be tested has a grey background.Its a good prep book. But save a few dollars and get any of the older editions. They are exactly the same.
