Will the case support the ipad in portrait mode also?

The iPad can certainly be used in portrait mode, but there is not special stand to support it. Support is by flat on a surface or held in hand.

How different is this 2021 case from their iPad 12.9 2020 case version?

I watched a YouTube where a guy tried to put the 2020 case on the 2021 and he showed the buttons not lining up correctly.

I hadn’t noticed till Joey’s answer: The tab on the cover that I thought was just for opening the case, allows the iPad to be stood straight and vertical in portrait mode. Without that tab, it might not be stable. Not sure if it’s a feature, but at least on my breakfast table; it works. ;-)

Do i have to have to purchase applecare+ for zugu to cover the cost?
