What good is it having a clamp that half of it would rust?

The screw with sliding handle started to rust when I used in the corrosive processing plant in my company. I considered they were not properly passivated.  Passivation is the process of removing free iron particles on the surface of stainless steel to prevent the formation of rust stain.  So I decided to passivate them.  Guess what happened!  The body part was intact but the screw with sliding handle part was dissolved in the solution, 40-45 %v/v Nitric Acid 42 °Bé.  It is made of regular steel which is destroyed by Nitric Acid. Should I return them saying that the screw with sliding handle part got dissolved in the passivation solution?  Instead, I decided to buy parts from McMaster-Carr and reassemble them.  The thread size is Metric M8 x 1.25 mm.  I do not need full 0 to 2.8" clamping length, and I bought 80 mm Length 18-8 SS Threaded Rod (Part# 93805A369), Nylon Knob with Thread Hold (5993K395) & 18-8 SS Nylon-Insert Locknut (93625A114) to be placed next to Knob to tighten the Knob & at the end to be used as Clamp Feet.  Locknut will damage the part being clamped.  If no damage is allowable, 303 SS Clamp Feet (6120K47or K72) can be used, but they are more expensive than Locknuts.  This modification works very well for our application.  I wish the manufacturer made them 100% SS.  Love of money is root of all evil.  Let us not chase after money.  Let money chase after us.  Amen, Hallelujah!

Is any part not stainless steel? I have an underwater applications.

Yes, the screw with sliding handle altogether is NOT stainless steel.  It rusts.

The clamp shown in 4th photo is not the one being sold, and you may like to contact the seller.  Please be aware that the clamp being sold is not 100 % SS and the one in 4th photo may not be 100 % SS either. The 4th photo shows a different design than other photos. Which photo is correct?

The 4th photo is the photo of a different model.  What we get is one clamp as shown on the 1st, 2nd & 3rd photos.  The 5th & 6th photo shows two clamps, but only one clamp is for $19.99.  Additionally, it is claimed to be SS.304, but only the body part is SS and the screw/sliding handle is NOT SS, because it rusts.
