Tenkara Rod Co.Tenkara Fly Fishing Line - Orange 13'

This is my first ever tenkara line. I have nothing to compare it to but I took it to the lakes up in the Enchantments Trail and I was able to catch plenty of fish with it. It works extremely well if you do the sling shot casting technique with the tenkara rod. I own an original, old, straight out of Japan 13 foot Tenkara rod in perfect condition and the red line looks amazing with it.

Per headline, This is tightly twisted with memory single string. It is not tapered or furled. The description does not indicate this to be the case, and looking at the pictures, you see twisted line. Danger in making assumptions. I've always used furled leaders and will be sure to look out for this sort of thing going forward. The leader does not perform well, it is difficult for me to cast in slight breeze. It just doesn't have the power transfer. I switched it out for a tapered and furled line and it busted through the breeze full length no issues. This one was a struggle to cast 1/2 length.Also of note, the included transition loop was of poor material and the knot slipped when I tested it. I used the same loop once I properly secured the knot. I tried switching out the included loop for a better one but the results were the same.The leader did float quite well
