Disappointed
There are two reasons why I gave this book a two star rating. First the color key looks like an after thought. It's tiny and part of the back cover. On my copy of the book, it's very hard to tell what the color is. The Color Key is almost useless. It would have been more helpful if the colors had been given a names, were larger, and were within the the book itself. Not a small part of the back cover. Also, Several of the colors look almost exactly the same. My other reason for rating this book with just two starts are the numbers within each page. They are very lightly printed. In some cases this is a good thing because they do not show through the coloring, But, they are also small, requiring a magnifying glass in some cases. At times the number are difficult to find. They're very small and will be a one corner of a very large area. You have to do a search to figure out what color to color a large area. The book is OK, but some improvements could certainly be made, especially regarding the color key. It's really poor. I doubt I'll be using this book much. The poor color key takes the fun out of the pages.

Good designs - numbers and outlines light (could be darker)
This seemed like a good color-by-number book because the designs are nice. The numbers and outlines are light and hard to see. I think it is a personal preference. The reason I did not give a five star rating is that I prefer darker numbers and outlines. And some of the pages are even lighter than others. I will have to use a magnifying glass to see the numbers. They are not too small, just light. Also it does not have end product examples, like good color-by-number books. The cover of the zebra is the only example. Color code is hard to read and match. The designs are good in this book

Disappointed
I was very excited for this book. It's a great price and I thought it would be a great way to try something new and use colors that I would not typically combine. I was quickly letdown. There are 28 colors total to use....this is waaay to many. I colored 2 images using the coloring guide and matched the colors to a T. It truly feels there is no rhyme or reason for the color placement. Some blocks are missing numbers and the end product is certainly NOT something I would ever frame or hang on my wall. I can see why there are no end product examples. That being said the images themselves are nice and I like that the numbers are light and can be covered (this is a personal preference)I did complete one using my own color palate and I like how it turned out I was just hoping for more of a traditional pop art color by number without having to think of the palate on my own ( that's the point of color by numbers right?)The first 2 images are following the numbers the third is my own. Smaller thumbnails they look great but normal size they are not.

color by number, I assume that all of the pages are color by number that is not the case . There was only a very few pages that were color by number in this coloring book.

Its good it was cheap
I did notice that the color code was hard to read like the other reviews said. Another thing I saw was that half the pictures had no numbers. I don't understand that since the whole book was based on color by number. The color code I may be able to figure out by the cover or just make it up as I go. However with the ones without numbers are just a coloring book. I'm glad I didn't pay much for this
