The best tool to save those damaged threads on axles, used it mainly for Toyota/lexus axle threads but great kit overall

Fix damage threat in the axle really easy, just put some cutting oil or any kind of good lubricant and go nice and slow and job done

I bought this kit to re-thread the front axle on a 2007 Honda CR-V. Unfortunately, the largest die was too small. I resorted to the use of a small file re-shape the threads then used the original axle bolt but screwed it on backwards to straighten out the axle threads. The new replacement bolt went on perfectly. However, I am keeping the kit for future use. The dies the tool to hold the dies appear to be of good quality. Good value for the price.

Saved me from buying a new axle. Was able to get the thread restarted and ran all the way through the thread and back. Toyota uses 22x1.50 thread on a lot of their axles. Bought this kit because it had the right size and came with special socket for the die. Recommend in cases where the thread is damaged.

I was changing the wheel bearing on my Front Wheel Drive Car, and I used the puller to press against the threaded spindle but took it off too soon. When the spindle didn't dislodge by hand, I SHOULD HAVE PUT THE PULLER BACK ON and tensioned again BEFORE striking it with my 8 pound maul hammer. But, the thing is, if I had not slightly mushroomed the threaded end of the axle. I would never have believed that you could get an 8 Piece Threading set like this SO CHEAP. And I got it THE NEXT DAY! For clarity, I was at home with a busted car, and thanks to Jeff and his worker bees. My car was on the road THE NEXT DAY! When I damaged the threads, I did use a rat tail file to reshape the outer edge. I have got lucky at times, and got the nut started, and did not have to rethread. Point being, in less than ten minutes, I had my threads back. Get some motor oil keep dripping it on the cutter, as you turn it. You turn clockwise two motions, then back one, (act like you are counting hours on the clock). Then repeat, and of course keep oiling. My Cadillac XTS used the M24x1.5 tool.

What I dislike about the set is that I get a use set and not a new one

Can't beat it for the money. Worked as it should.

Only cleans does not work for creating a new thread.
