Great flavor.
Taste great with my chicken. Delicious. I wonโt spend over $3.99 for it. I purchased for $2.99 and seen it as high as $12.99. Crazy price fluctuations.

Best Tikka Sauce in a packet by far
The Flavors are authentic and gives a great spice kick to it as a good Tikka should do, but no so hot you cant taste anything, the explosion of spices is just wonderful. Wonderful and had since bought the other flavors too

Flavor profile is a bit off
Really weirdly acidic and tangy vs rich and savory. Which maybe some would prefer. However, for me this was needing a lot of help. It took a lot of tweaking to fix this sauce. Not the shortcut sauce you want for a quick dinner.

Very spicy cumin flavor
I ordered the Passage to India Tikka Masala, and it is pretty good. It's pretty easy to make, and you can pair it with several things. I just had it over rice, and it was delicious. It is incredibly spicy, so not all people or children may be able to handle it. Just using a small amount over rice versus more is good since the flavor is so powerful, you don't need that much. My young son usually can't handle spice too much, and apparently he loves this so much that he's forcing himself to eat it all because it's so good. It just tastes like an incredibly spicy cumin Indian type dish. This would be really good mixed with chicken breast, but I just used it plain this time.

Pretty good
Pretty good base for a Tikka Masala dish. I love making indian food. I usually make Tikka Masala from scratch, but some days I want a convenient way to make it. When I saw this I figured I'd try it out. Now of course the flavor is slightly different than my own, so I added some other seasonings to make it more familiar to my tongue. Right out of the package i'd say it's a bit more acidic than i'd like - the tomato acidity really comes through. I don't really like that, but i was able to neutralize it with some other seasonings. The recommended amount of meat to add was a bit much - 2.2lbs. I added about half of that it really thinned out the amount of sauce. Perhaps I just like my tikka masala saucy. In any case, this is an easy way to have some spicy indian food quickly. Definitely recommend!

Not My Favorite: Tart and Bitter Flavors Dominate
I use Indian packaged meals frequently, and the Passage to India Butter Chicken is one of the better ones I have tried; however, their Tikki Masala is not going to be one of my favorites. I added a cubed potato and 2 carrots, and with those additions agree that there are four ample servings over rice. As with most packaged foods, the sodium content of this is somewhat high: the entire package if eaten in one meal is the equivalent of 115% of the daily recommended amount of sodium in a 2000 calorie diet so splitting it four ways without any sodium additions is around 29%. I found the flavor to be somewhat tart and vinegary even though vinegar is well down in the ingredients list. It also has a bitterness that I do not like. My husband and I sometimes disagree on flavors โ I usually like vinegar; he does not โ however he did not like it much either. He thought that adding yogurt or other cream, as suggested on the package, might help improve the flavor. It does contain a nice blend of spice, both in flavoring and moderate heat, but it was overshadowed by the tartness for us. Iโm disappointed that I didnโt like this more. As implied above, I would order their Butter Chicken again, but not the Tikki Masala.
