Incredible time-saver!
I wanted to use this for a while before I wrote the review. I moved in February to a house with a partially renovated, 25 x 45' pool. I opened the pool early because I knew I would have to work on it and I wanted it to be ready when the warm weather finally arrives. The pool is surrounded by trees and as a result, the spring brought all manner of debris, most of which made its way to the pool. I've been running this at least five times a week for a month now and it works incredibly well. The debris filter/basket hold a lot of junk and it's very easy to empty and clean. The cleaner picks up dirt, leaves, very small twigs - pretty much anything that ends up in the bottom of the pool. After a couple of bad storms, the pool was filthy and I had to run it two or three times to get most of the filth from the bottom, but it kept up. After about six weeks of use, I've had no issues with the cord getting tangled. The tracks propel the cleaner efficiently and it easily climbs the walls in the 7' end of the pool, getting to the top to scrub the tile line. It probably only gets about 25' of the tile line each time it runs, so I still brush that regularly. It's never gotten stuck except for one time when I found it upside-down on a shelf. Not sure how that happened... I've seen it start to go upside-down and then correct itself numerous times. It's obviously designed to account for that. It uses water jets facing in all directions to stabilize or re-position itself. I know these are pricey, but if you're in the market for a robotic cleaner, give this one a close look.

Do not buy! Update
Purchased the cleaner July 2017, did a good job that season, cleaned allot grass and leaf deposits out of the pool. This year after opening, did a good job, cleaned it about once a week, but the cleaning cycle time seem to be getting shorter with each use. Now one year into it, the power cord gets entangled because the bot just spins around on its side when starting out flat on the bottom. In contact with Maytronics to solve the problem. Also, what is annoying is the random pattern of cleaning, try to control it by the Bluetooth app on the smart phone, which is worthless, cannot connect.Next step is the Square Trade protection plan, if Maytronics does not comes thru.UPDATE: Maytronics is not going to honor the warranty because the Amazon invoice did not have the serial number of the unit printed on it. What is up with that? How could Amazon possibly know that information, when Pool Express Group, Inc. fulfilled the order. Help Amazon!UPDATE: Finally, got the warranty straightened out. Maytronics agreed to replace the blue power cord to the cleaner. Got the cleaner back after repairs Used it twice, the new cord is twisted as the old one. Maytronics suggests straighten out the cord and leave it in the sun. Now the cleaning cycle time is only 15-30 minutes now. Time to contact Maytronics again (888-365-7446).

Realise your life's ambitions
The best Maytronic's robotic cleaner I have used for one reason. The top accessed filter tray is wonderful. Easier cleaning and larger capacity than prior units. Another reason is the name is cool and makes me feel smart. My last Maytronics was the Premier....good unit lasted 4 years. Prior to the Premier I had a Polaris model with the tail and external booster pump. My father-in-law is partial to the Polaris cleaners and because my wife thinks he knows so much more than me, I was cowed into buying one. The Maytronic’s unit I had before the Polaris, I cannot remember the model, but for all intents and purposes the same as the Premier. I bought the Quantum because my daughter's twelve-year-old friends pulled my Premier's power supply into the pool. I almost bought another Premier but read about the Quantum and decided to try it.The filters on the Premier and prior units are loaded by turning the unit upside down and extracting the filter bank after sliding two tabs with finger tips or at times with a screw driver because my dainty fingers can’t take pressure. After the filter bank was removed on the Premier, you remove the 4 filters from the holder by flipping 4 rotating clips and individually power spray each filter then reload the four filters into the holder by rotating the 4 clips, load the holder with filters in the robot, and finally re-engage the sliding tabs. With the Quantum pull up on the lid latch with one index finger, pull the tray out, rinse the four filters still in the tray, replace the filter tray and close lid. Every once in a while I will, or might I don't know I am lazy, remove the four filters and individually power spray them, but I don't have to do it every time now.The geometry of the Quantum tray with filters is a large volume 3-D trapezoid as opposed to the 2x low volume 3-D triangles of the Premier. I have a 50'x24' pool with 50k gallons and ? surface area which collects leaves as well as my wife's flower pots (at least once every single summer!). Anyway, the Premier gets clogged up and a sensor tells the system to prematurely stop. So I need to do the above recurrently until the job is done with the small capacity Premier filter volume repeatable stopping up. I had plenty of leaves in the pool today requiring three runs on the Quantum to clear, but he Quantum never stopped without completing its cycle. One pain in the butt avoided and each cleaning much easier than with the Premier. The Premier has an anti-tangle swivel that the Quantum does not. However, the Quantum does not get tangled. I guess because the robot spins alternately clock and counter clockwise. Hence, no Quantum Entanglement …. Spooky action at a distance? The Quantum also has a cool blue light on the front, which ostensible provides the Nav 2.0 AI with some visual info but I don’t care. The design features above are all I need. The Quantum robot could take a drunken sailor random walk on the bottom of my pool and I’d be fine. The blue light and sensor may provide increased efficiency over prior Maytronics devices, but for me the blue light is just cool and my lazy butt just wants to clean the dirty filters easily. On a final note the Quantum is designed to be serviced by the owner. One of my life goals is to understand the General Theory of Relativity and Quantum Mechanics. Now thankfully with my new robotic pool cleaner I can be a Quantum Mechanic.
