Perfect for Pomodoro and Focus Work
I've been struggling a bit with focus and time blindness, and saw this recommended a few places as a good task / focus timer. It's a simple device, which has spawned many generic clones, but an effective one. I generally use this for the pomodoro technique while working, which I've found quite effective. It's a nice size, fitting perfectly underneath my monitor. The timer itself its very plasticy and very light, which is fine really. Visually, it's got a very nice minimal look to it. The operation is completely silent, in fact when I first put the batteries in I wasn't convinced it was even working since it made absolutely no noise - but it does work well. I did do a test where I set the timetimer to 30 mins and set a 30 min timer on my phone just to check the times lined up before commiting to using it, and they did. Overall, I think this is a great product for people who have the same issues that I've been having - though for the price I can why people might opt for other generic branded timers that do the same thing, because at the end of the day it's just a plastic timer which can be cheaply replicated.

Makes me motivated to work
This has been an absolute game changer to my productivity. I like how you can choose to have it on silent, because the alarm is way too loud and uncomfortable for me. Wish they would have chosen a better alarm sound and volume.

Loud Ticking Out The Box
Not silent at all! loud ticking out of the box even when the hand is in the 0 position. I specifically brought it because of the Silent Operation.

Good to start, stops working after a month.
Loved this timer, it's sleek looking, nice and easy to read. However, I've had it for almost exactly a month now and it's already stopped going off. It will get to ~one minute left and get stuck and never sound the alarm. I'm very disappointed since I liked the timer so much and would expect more for the price. Not great when you have time blindness and need to set timers or are trying to keep yourself on track and don't remember when you set the alarm...

Great product
Very little not to like. One AA battery required (not included). Packaging very minimal, no plastic. The timer feels robust and works very well. No audible ticking sound. Very clear and appealing to look at. The alarm is a simple four double-beeps (beep-beep x4). This can be switched off if desired.

A literal godsend for those of us with an absurdly warped sense of time ; )
I never write reviews, but I felt it necessary for this little contraption, which I have had in my cart for over a year before finally pulling the trigger. I didn't think it would be so life-altering, but it's a dream. It is a perfect, simple, and effective tool. Stylish, too, if you get the white! Like, is this Bang and Olufson does ADHD? Kind of! No ridiculous apps involved, no phone, just you and this magical timer. It keeps track of the time, works perfectly for Pomodoro, and most importantly, I can glance up to the side of my computer and see that I've just wasted 15 minutes looking at Architectural Digest, and it's now time to get back to work. Previously, hours could pass as I foggily stumbled in a daze, googling every interest that flitted through my brain, browsing Wikipedia and shoe websites, or watching YouTube videos on how to make my own Donald Judd replica desk; you know, you get the idea. When used properly this has added hours to my day. Yay!

A perfect desk timer, great design quality. So helpful in “seeing my time”.
If you’re comparing multiple desk timers, get this one!!! I struggle with focus and organization due to ADHD, and this has made such a difference. It’s straightforward (in a good way) and very good quality (and comes in a gorgeously designed minimalist all-recyclable packaging - which I’ve kept to use as a “travel case” for the timer). Just turn the dial to your desired time and watch the time slowly slip through your fingers (haha) - it’s genuinely helped me be far more productive and time-aware. There is one simple switch on the back that indicates whether you want the alarm to sound when the time is up or not. Ignore any of the other reviews complaining about this - I’ve found it’s simplicity is useful. When the timer runs out (and if the sound switch is turned on), the alarm doesn’t go off indefinitely — it only only sounds for four pairs of beeps before automatically stopping. (If you want to silence it sooner, you can turn the switch to off and then immediately back to on, for next time.) The alarm’s beep is appropriately loud/piercing in a way that mildly jolts your focus if you’re distracted, but isn’t excessively loud or grating. The point seems to be that it gets your attention in a way that won’t let you miss the timer going off — but this alarm knows it’s not trying to wake someone out of a deep slumber. Overall, this is straightforward, attractive, and well-made. The designers clearly took time to consider what it would be used for, and tailored the functionality to that. Highly recommend.
