Great for hackintosh (with adapter, see review)
I converted this to fit in a M.2 2230 slot using Hobbypower BCM94360CS2/BCM943224PCIEBT2 Card To NGFF(M.2) Key A/E Adapter For Mac OS. Works great!

Model number AND year number are needed to know before purchasing this.
If you have a 2012 MacBook Air, DO NOT buy this. Apple made A1465 and A1466 models in 2013, which this card is intended for. The card is substantially longer and the antennae will not be able to connect to it in a 2012 MBA. I’m giving it a 1-star because the product listing does not make clear which computers are supported. In the photo, the stock card is on top and this listing’s card is on the bottom. Notice on the 2nd photo, where the bottom card is installed, the antennae sockets (where the antennae plugs need to go) are located on the left, out of reach of the antennae. It cannot even be screwed into place. The 3rd photo is with the stock and shows how it should fit.

Note that there are actually two A1466 models, 2012 and 2013. For god's sake apple use the same model name for two models, the size of the wireless card is actually different. 2013 one is a bit longer than 2012 one, I have the 2012 one, making it not fit. But I managed to fit it in at the end, permanent damage is needed inside the case, but it works well after reassembly, can not tell from the outside.
